10 YEARS OLD!

December 25, 2011
Cali is now 10 years old!
How the heck did that happen?
Her birthday was a little more busy that usual this year and so we had to cram in the Birthday activities as best we could.  When we got home from church, we hurried and got ready to go to Gammy's, but let her open up her presents from her brothers first:
DS game from Brody

Book from Luke

Shirt and pin from Gavin
At Gammy's, she got to open more birthday gifts:

I forgot the pie crust to make her favorite pie! (Bad Mommy)  So, we used Gammy's "Tom Selleck" as a replacement.
Cali didn't seem to mind.  Happy Birthday Angel!
The real celebration came yesterday, when we picked up Emily and the grandmas, and headed to the American Girl Place!
We started our day with lunch at the Cafe...
And we got to eat out on the Terrace!  It was a beautiful day!
We had a delicious lunch and then got to enjoy a pretty yummy dessert:
Then, I surprised her with a NEW DOLL!  She has been wanting one of the Historical Dolls and Rebecca is her favorite.  So.......

Thanks Mom!
We ate, we shopped and we took lots of pictures!  It was a great day!  These 2 made out well:
When we got to the car, Nana gave Cali her gifts.
She got more outfits and the books that go with Rebecca.  She also got a Hanukkah set to go with the doll, because she is Jewish.
We came home and got to have a sleep over with Em....It was a wonderful day!  I love my Christmas Angel!
Once again, I took a lot of pictures....so to see all the events of the 10th birthday...click HERE.

Cousin Campout

These 2 don't get to see each other very often, so when they get together....they don't want to leave each other right away!  Thank Goodness for Christmas Break and the DACP!  Gina got to stay over and they camped out in the play room!

Last night, we threw the first ever Adams Family Day After Christmas Party (DACP)!
Lyndsey and I were talking and we wanted to see all the cousins and family that were in the area for Christmas.  So, I volunteered our home and we made the Facebook Event and Boom!  The people came!
It was so much fun seeing everyone and catching up and just being together!  I think we may have to do this again!

Christmas 2011

The kids and Daisy at Nana & Papa's - Christmas Eve
We had a fun-filled, action-packed, whirlwind of a Christmas...And it was AWESOME!
Christmas Eve started with the baby blessing of Ever Leigh Kringel.  Jimmy and Whitney decided to bless their new little angel on Christmas Eve, while their family was in town.  She is so beautiful and she got to wear the same blessing dress that Cali was blessed in.  It was a very special way to start the day!

Then it was off to Fallbrook for the Wilson Family Christmas!
We hung out, watched football, played games and had a yummy-delicious dinner.  These 3 even put together a cute little puppet show for us to enjoy:
We were able to skype Becky's and Mikey's families and open our presents together.  Here's Becky and Clover....I miss them so much!

Skyping Presents!

Dinnertime!
After dinner, Meish showed up and was all ready to make some cookies with the kids!

Ben and Zac had to work..so we put on our Christmas PJ's and when they finally arrived...we opened presents!

Around 10:30...we called it a night.  Santa was on his way and preparations needed to be made for his arrival.  Thanks Nana, Papa, Ben, Meish & Scrac for a fun Christmas Eve!

Our Tree-Christmas Eve
"The Stockings were hung by the chimney with care....In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there"...
 SANTA CAME!!!!

Our morning started later than usual (7:00 AM!!!)
We got to open all our gifts and then we had Cali's choice of cinnamon rolls, bacon and orange slices for breakfast.  Then we got dressed in our Christmas Sunday Best, and headed to a special Christmas service.  It was really beautiful and I felt the spirit so strongly while the Choir performed an amazing contada.  Jeremy performed with the choir and I got to lead the Primary.  We totally messed up and ended up laughing our way through our songs, but it was still cute!
Christmas Family Shot
We came home from Church, changed, grabbed food and gifts and headed over to Oceanside for the McEwan Family Christmas!
My brothers and I and our families, got mom and dad an old fashioned popcorn machine and a movie projector.  We also got them movies to watch with their cool new stuff!  They were pretty excited!
Then the cousins got to exchange their gifts:
Thanks Sarah!

Thanks Chloe!

Thanks Brody!  So Cute!
We ate the most amazing dinner and hung out and played games all afternoon and into the night.  Mark and Gavin got the popcorn maker put together and Dad went to town popping the "Papa-corn"!
And to make this day even more special....Granny was here to celebrate with us (& Sammy too!).
Our Christmas was filled with food, fun and most important-FAMILY!  So happy and grateful for this time of year!  MERRY CHRISTMAS!
...and to all, a good night!
I took a bazillion pictures...to see them all, click HERE.
