Have you ever seen this show? It is a game show on Nickelodeon. My kids love it! A couple of weeks ago, they were asking me how they could get on the show. So, I looked it up online and found out that only 11-14 year olds could try out. I sent an email saying that my son was interested in being on the show and how could he get on?! They replied right back with all the info.
On Thursday, we made the drive up to Hollywood, so that Gavin could audition for the show. It was a really fun experience. He had so much fun! It was a group of about 20-25 kids and they were tested on the games that take place on the show. Most of them have to do with Memory. Then, each kid had to get up and introduce themselves, and talk for a minute straight about themselves and what they like to do. It was a real fun and energetic environment. I'm not sure if he'll get picked, we find out in a couple of weeks, but he sure had a good time just auditioning.

"Pick Boy"-I'm not sure what his real name is....But he is the host and really funny!

After the audition, we stopped at "Mel's Drive In" for dinner in downtown Hollywood. Gavin was excited because they had pictures of George Lucas all over the place. This was the restaurant featured in George Lucas' first movie-"American Graffiti". It's a really cute diner and the food was YUMMY!

Alone Time

I know I have been on here quite a bit this week. But, what else are you going to do when your sick little girl just wants you to sit with her on the couch all day? There's only so much Nickelodeon and Disney Channel I can take.
Anyways, it's 8:00 PM and the boys are going NUTS! Where is their father? I couldn't find him anywhere! Then I hear a faint sound coming from the Playroom (where the lights are off and the door is shut)...

Not as bad....but not real good either...

CALI DOES NOT HAVE THE FLU - YAY!!!! BUT-she does have a sinus infection AND an ear infection AND a fever blister virus AND she still has the fever! Poor Girl! She's getting really bored laying around here and so am I! The Good News? We went to the doctor and got medicine - YAY!!!! So, she should be able to go back to school on Friday (as long as her fever goes away)!

Why am I so tired?

I'm pretty beat right now. And here's the reason why-Cali is sick. She never gets sick! So, when she does, it always seems to be a lot all at once. The flu and now some yucky rash. Why am I sharing this? Because last night I let her sleep in my bed with me. If you're a mom, do you remember being in the hospital right after giving birth and always checking to make sure the baby was breathing? Always listening and touching it to make sure it was ok? Afraid to go to sleep in case something happened? Well that's what I did, and that's what I did all night again last night!
Tomorrow we will go to the doctor and get her checked out! So off to bed I go-for another sleepless night!

Is this normal?

OK-All of our kids are pretty silly. But I have to say, Brody is the silliest! First of all, while I was making dinner tonight, he stood in the kitchen, with his head between his knees, moaning-just for fun (didn't have time to grab the camera). So, after dinner, I rewarded the kids with some chocolate! Brody got a roll of Rollos and decided to put them on his eyes. "Look Mommy"!

Movie Review....

Last night, while Cali and Daddy were out on their date, I took the boys (and Blake), to see The Lightning Thief. It was Awesome! Now, we have read all of the Percy Jackson Books and LOVE them! The movie left out a lot of stuff, and took some different turns than the book, but it was still very enjoyable to watch! I highly recommend it! (I highly recommend the books too! They are lots of fun to read!)

Daddy/Daughter Dance "Over the Rainbow"

Last Night was Monte Vista Elementary School's Daddy Daughter Dance. Cali has been waiting weeks for this night! She got to wear the dress she got for Christmas (can't really see it in the pix, because her sweater is on). It was cream and black and she looked beautiful! Daddy took her to her favorite place for dinner- The Olive Garden. Then it was off to the dance with all of her friends at the Shadowridge Country Club. It was a "Wizard of Oz" theme. They danced, had dessert, and made cute little crafts. Cali's favorite souvenir is a little whistle on a bracelet. Every time she blows it, Daddy has to give her a hug!

Cookie Love...

We had a wonderful Valentines Week! I say week, because that's what it feels like! The kids had to get all of their cards ready for their school parties on Tuesday. The parties at school and here w/ the daycare kids, was Wednesday. Jeremy and I took the kids to the grandparents' on Thursday, to get in our Bday/Vday getaway. Flowers arrived for me on Friday and today we celebrated with lots of candy and a family gift of LEGO ROCK BAND!
After mommy made a yummy dinner on sweetheart plates, we decorated our cookies on a stick from Kaci and Bailey (Thanks Guys!).
Can you feel the LOVE?

A Rockin' Birthday...

We made Jeremy very happy this year! GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR FOR THE Wii! Woo Hoo! Everyone was so excited! The best part? On Friday, while the kids were at Gammy's, he got 3 whole hours to himself to play!

Happy Birthday Flower and Alice

If you haven't met Flower and Alice yet, they are Cali's dolls-I mean sisters! Apparently we have never had a birthday party for them. So Cali decided to throw them a Birthday Tea Party today. It was so cute. She had them all set up on the floor with her cute Ladybug tea set.

Above: (Alice - left Flower-right)
Even Coconut (their dog) and Inky (the squid) got to enjoy the party!

Dumb-I mean Jumbo Jr. got to join in the fun!

Cali even set up a party game on her desk. You had to guess which seashell had a baby seashell underneath it.

It is so much fun to have a daughter to play with!

Memory Lane...

Today I was going through boxes and sorting through old picture frames, when I came upon this! This was 16 years ago! Wow! I was a nanny for these 4 awesome kids. Now they are all grown and have all become AWESOME adults! It has almost been a year since Colby left on his mission. I feel so old! But I am so grateful, still to this day, for the wonderful experience I have had being a part of these kids' lives!
