Mothers Day 2k17

 I love this day!
Mostly because my kids seem to really love this day.  It makes me feel good to know that it is important to them to make me feel special.  And they really do.  I love listening to them bring up my breakfast and sing "Happy Mothers Day to you...".  I love reading the homemade cards that they took the time to make for me.  I love how they hop up on the bed and eat breakfast with me.
I loved the speakers at church.  The talks on Women and Mothers.  I love listening to the Primary kids sing their songs.  And I loved how all the men and boys came up and sang "I Often Go Walking" to all the women in the ward.  I'm grateful for the Men leaders and the time they took to wrap and put together beautiful flowers that were distributed after Sacrament Meeting.
I loved visiting Sister McBride after church, while she is recovering from surgery.  Kathering went with me and we brought her some of the pretty flowers.
I didn't get my annual nap, but I did get my annual "couch pic"-

Jeremy made us yummy steaks for dinner and we watched "Return of the King".  It was a wonderful day.  I am truly grateful to be a mom.  I am blessed, beyond measure, to be these guys' mom!  It is all I ever wanted to be!
Happy Mothers Day!

Mothers Day Mud Run

Kaci texted me last week and asked if I wanted to to do the Del Mar Mud Run with her the day before Mothers Day.  She won 4 entries in a school silent auction.  So, why not?  We made it a mother/daughter day and had so much fun!
We may have walked most of it, but we did every mud obstacle and had so much fun getting dirty!
It was a beautiful day and it was made more special because of our team - Team Mother/Daughter!

Mothers Day Kick Off

The Friday night before Mothers Day, we gathered at Gammy's for a night of fun with our Mom and Granny!  We ate yummy food and played cards and games!

Granny lost Sammy this week.  Its been a rough time for her.  It made me happy to see her having fun and enjoying the night.  I'm very thankful that I get to have these special moments with my Granny!  And grateful to be able to make some time to celebrate my mom and her mom.  Very Blessed!

Birthday Dinner and a movie

Every year around Luke's Birthday, a new Marvel movie comes out.  This year it was GOTG Vol 2.  So, we grabbed Luke's friend Ben and headed to Lamppost for the pre-movie dinner!

We had great seats and the movie was fun!
Cali got to wear her cute Marvel Heroes dress...

And the movie was not as good as the first, in my opinion.  It was filled with profanity and adult themes.  Although, the message of "Family First" made up for that.  Luckily, most of the adult stuff was over Brody's head.  We still had a great night and loved being able to celebrate Luke on more time!

Double Disney Ditch Day!

We had 2 more days left on our Disney Passes.  We needed to use them before the end of May.  I took Wednesday and Thursday off.  I booked a hotel.  And Wednesday, I yanked these guys out of school and work for 2 days of magicalness!!!
We stopped to check on Star Wars Land first...
Then hopped on the tram to California Adventure !
We hadn't been to this park in so long.  We started with lunch at the plane place and our first ride was Soarin'.  They changed it to Soarin' over the Wolrd.  It was cool, but I liked the California one better.  But, Luke and Brody hadn't ever been on this ride before and they really liked it!
We just cruised around the park in a circle.  Hitting all the rides as we went along.

The Zephyr-
Toy Story Mania-
Screamin'-
Luigi's Rollicking Roadsters-

Sweet treats from the Cozy Cone-

Radiator Springs Racers-
Cali wanted a pic with "Newsie" Mickey-
Beast's Library-

The Sorcerer's Workshop-
This kid can buy his own stuff-
We got a sneak peek at the new Pirate's movie-
The Team strutting through the park-
Dinner at Flo's-

The Wonderful World of Color-

Guys!  This day was magical!  We had so much fun and did everything and more than we wanted!  We shut the park down and headed to our BW down the street for a good night's sleep!

Thursday - 5/4
May the 4th Be With You!
Yep!  We woke up in Anaheim on May the 4th!  And we had Magical Morning left on our passes.  So, we got up early and arrived an hour early to enjoy the park before it opened.
We hit up Hyperspace Mtn first (5 min wait!) and got ourselves fast passes for later too!

They had a whole bunch of extra stuff around Tomorrowland to celebrate Star Wars Day!  And we tried to take advantage of them all!

Check out my new Leia shirt...
We ventured out of Tomorrowland so that Luke could ride Matterhorn for the first time!
 And he loved it!
We dried ourselves off on the Tea Cups...
And hit up Space Mtn again with our fast passes!
Launch Bay wasn't packed and we got this fun pic-
Then we spent the day at all of our other favorite spots!
And Cali got her apple-

 These guys are my favorite!
By 4:00, this poor little thing was done.  She has been struggling with some health issues and needed to get home...
We were ok with leaving early, because we were able to do everything we wanted.  And I tried to get a pic of  "Disney Cali Adventure" before we left..
And these boys got exclusive May the 4th t-shirts that they wanted to show off before we left...
We were able to have a nice ride home.  Ate dinner at In N Out and Chick fil a.  Got home early enough to get showers and get to bed early.
It was the best 2 days!  I'm so glad we did this and I absolutely love the memories I got to make with my kids!
