I love where i live...

Jeremy was gone at a conference this week.  So, I needed some help with all of my driving.  My parents grabbed Gav from work for me on Wednesday night and we met them down at the pier at had dinner at Ruby's.  Again, the sunset was gorgeous. I really love where we live...

Date Night

Last Saturday, it was beautiful and HOT!  I wanted to go to the beach...but the kids were not in the mood.  Hubby to the rescue!  He took me to the beach for sunset and then fish n chips.  The sunset was gorgeous and the beach was "weely windy"!!!

BBear Birthday Party!!

Today we celebrated Brody's birthday with his buddies.  He had a half day, so I grabbed these 4 and we headed to Boomers!
We played Laser Tag and Bumper Boats...

 We grabbed some slurpees...
Then played lots of video games...

Then we came home and played more video games...
And enjoyed some birthday brownies and ice cream!
Brody loved his day!  10 is great!

Spring SLC

Brody presented a very informative and fun SLC this week.  He went over all that he learned the last few months.  His favorite project was the "Self Portrait" exhibition.  He shared some of his favorite pics.  These show his personality..."awesome, silly & fun".  Wonder who he gets it from?
Luke got to go with me and gave Brody some good advice for his future SLC's.  They are best buddies and it makes me happy...

Stormy Beach Day w/ Cousins

My cousin Stephanie and her family have been here all week for their Spring Break.  They spent most of it up at Disney and Universal.  On Friday, they came down for one more family day.  They realy wanted to go to the beach, even though it was cloudy and rainy.  It was beautiful and so much fun!  I'm so glad we went...

It actually was not that cold and the kids had a blast making sand animals and castles, finding shells and sand dollars, and even playing a little in the water.

New Job

Gav started his new job this past week at the Oside Boys & Girls Club.  He helped with the Spring Break Camp and from now on will be helping with the after school programs at 2 elementary schools.  He's stoked and I am too!  I think this will be a great experience for him.

The Temple with Scrac

Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh!  You guys!  Prayers get answered....For Reals!
This past Wednesday night, we got the awesome opportunity to join Zac as he received his endowment!!!!  How cool is that?  It really, really was.  I was quite emotional the whole evening becuase I love this guy so much.  I am so happy for and so proud of him.

Now we just need to find him a wife!

Belated Birthday Spa Day

Maya and I tried and failed to celebrate our 40th birthdays together last year.  So today, we finally made it to La Costa for a magical spa day.  It truly was.  I loved my maternity massage.  We took roman baths, she soaked in the jacuzzi and steam room, while I lounged by the pool.  We had a delicious lunch and got all caught up on each other's lives.  Usually, I'm not a fan of spa days.  But this one was wonderful.  So glad we made it happen and I can't wait for the next one!

Conference Weekend

Whoa!  We had quite the weekend.  We had the Stanclifts staying with us, it was Brody's birthday and Cousin Stephanie and her family came into town too and hung out with us.  AND it was also the 186th semi-annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Here are some of my favorite quotes from the Saturday Sessions...

Between sessions, Cali, Jeremy and I had to go to the beach and soak up the beautiful weather...

We missed the afternoon session, but I watched it Saturday night, once everyone was in bed.  Jeremy took the boys and Stephanie's Jeremy to the Priesthood session and then Steph and fam headed to my parent's for the night.  The Stanclifts returned from Marshall's day of the IronMan and spent one last night with us.
Sunday morning, we all gathered to watch the morning session in our pj's.  Here are my Sunday favorites...

The Stanclifts left and we went over to my mom's for the second session and for the Holy Waffles and Burrito feast!
Some of us took the traditional walk to the pier afterwards...

And we spent the rest of the afternoon/evening visiting with Stephanie and her family.  I'm so happy we were able to enjoy conference and so much time with special friends and family.  And now I'm pooped!
