More Birthday Fun!

Brody and Luke were still on Spring Break, so we celebrated Brody's Bday with his friends on Friday.  We grabbed some in n out for lunch and then went bowling!

Woop Woop!

11 (official)

Once Dad and Luke were home, and Carter got his call, and scouts was done, we finally got to celebrate with everyone on Wednesday night (4/5).
We just invited the fam over for cake and ice cream and presents!

And he got more presents from the Florida and Oregon Cousins!

A Birthday that lasts all week is pretty darn awesome!

First thing...

First thing this kid did when he woke up Tuesday morning...

My little jock...

Monday night (4/3), this kid couldn't wait to see UNC beat Gonzaga for the NCAA Championship...
And they did win!  I love his love of sports!

Paraguay Asuncion North Mission

Carter has been waiting for this and it finally came!
We all went over on Monday (4/3) night for the announcement.
I facebooked live the event as he read that he has been called to the Paraguay Asuncion North Mission.  He reports to the MTC in Mexico on July 25th!!

We are so happy for him and so proud of him!

Meanwhile on the East Coast...

So while I was running around So Cal like a crazy person all weekend, these 2 were having the best time ever in Washington DC.
They took the red eye out on Wednesday night (Long Beach-JFK-Dulles).  They arrived in DC at 9:15 AM Thursday (3/30).  They rented their car and drove to the White House for their first tour.  Here they are waiting for the tour to start...
They loved seeing "Abe" every where and took pics with him every chance they got-
The White House tour was self guided...so they said they didn't learn anything, but it was still cool.

Pretty sure Luke was most excited to get a Lego set of the White House, at the White House!

They had a yummy lunch at the Shake Shack and then made their way to the VRBO I found them to rest....because they were beat!
Oh yeah!  On their way back to the car, they saw the Stanley Cup on display!
Thursday night I got panicked texts from Jer.  He was at a WalMart getting food for their kitchen and he was totally lost.  Poor guy couldn't get around without me.  But he did make it back and I took care of all his parking ahead of time, so that every where they went he had a spot with an address to plug into his gps and get there.  He managed to figure everything out and were able to see and do so much!
Friday (3/31), the day started with a tour of the Capitol Bldg...
Then they headed to the Library of Congress...

They strolled over to see the Washington Monument...
And spent the day wandering through museums and other monuments.  They packed in a ton and then headed back to the condo for a good night's rest!
Saturday (4/1), I got them a 3 hour Arlington tour.
They loved all they learned and saw at the cemetery...
Once again, they spent the rest of the day hitting up museums and monuments, before heading back for the night.
Sunday (4/2), They drove to Mt. Vernon  for a tour of the plantation and even got me a pic of a cherry tree...

They finished off their last day with a visit to the DC Temple and Visitors Center...

The best pizza ever in Maryland...
And one last visit with "Abe"-

Monday (4/3), they hopped back on a plane to head home (Dulles-JFK-Long Beach).
Here's the text I got from Jer Monday Morning:

I picked them up that afternoon and was so excited to see them.  We all missed them so much!
 Home Sweet Home!!!

I am so glad I could plan such a fun trip for them.  They made such awesome memories!
