Spring Break Day 1

Spring Break!  Woo Hoo!
I only had Hailee for the week, so it was easy to take off and do some fun things with the kids.  The boys wanted to just be lazy and stay home and play video games.  So, I took these 2 girls down to Balboa Park to see the Cherry Trees at the Japanese Friendship Garden!
It was such a beautiful day!

And this little one had a blast hanging out with the big girls, running on the trails and looking at the fishies!

We stopped and got lunch on the way home.  It was a perfect Girls Day!

8 is Great!

Brooklynn's turn!!
She's 8!  And she wanted her Birthday date to happen at Chuck E Cheese's too!  So that's what we did!
This girl is serious about her tickets and we spent 30 minutes racking up almost 800!

She got some fun prize and then we finished the afternoon with some froyo!  She will get baptized in April.  She is the biggest Sweetie and I'm so glad we could have a special day to celebrate her!  Happy Birthday bbjr!

Sweet Leigh

This was a bittersweet day.  Renee's mom, Leigh, passed away after a hard fought, long battle with cancer.  Renee and her siblings are devastated at the thought of living without her.  She was such a beautiful person, inside & out.  When I heard, I reached out to Yvonne and Vicky, to see if we could all make the funeral and be there to support Renee.  They were able to make it work with their schedules and we met up in Fallbrook for the service. The service was very nice and we ran into Jamie too!
We didn't go to the cemetery.  Renee asked us to meet her at the house.  So, we headed over and enjoyed the view of the beautiful backyard.  We all commented that this would probably be our last time here.  It is such a pretty place...

Renee was so touched that we were there.  In a sea of friends of her mother, she said it was so nice to have friends of her own there for her.  I'm so glad we could make it happen.

Beach Baby!

The sun is out and I only have this little munchkin on Mondays!  So, we stopped at Target and I got her this adorable unicorn bathing suit (& sandals and a hoodie), and we spent our morning at our happy place!
This girl loves the beach!  "I go beach?"  She ran all along the shore and wanted to be in the freezing cold water the whole time!
It is going to be a fun summer with this one!

St. Patricks Day!

It fell on a Sunday this year!  So we put on our Green Sunday Best and went to church!  I still dyed the lemonade green and got some cookies, but that was about all I got done.
We went to the Ranch that afternoon and Scrac and Gavin joined us for a traditional irish meal!
We made sure to stop and get Shamrock shakes on the way home that night.
Not as fun as when they were little, but still enjoying some fun traditions!  Lo and Begorra!  'Tis a Fine Day Indeed!

March 15th

A Day Off!
A Friday with no kids to watch!
I should have stayed home and cleaned the house.  But I headed to the beach instead.  It has been raining so much, that I felt it calling me on a warm sunny day.
I'm so glad I went.  I even bribed Gavin with cash to pick up Luke & Cali from school so that I could stay longer!
So Worth It!

Last meet of the season

Cali's last Academic Team meet was against my alma mater, RBV.
 They killed the Longhorns!

Sarah's Birthday

March 9th was Sarah's Birthday.  I was supposed to hang out with Maya that night.  I had tickets to a fun comedy club and dinner reservations.  Maya ended up getting sick.  So I offered the tickets to Isaac, since he didn't really have anything planned.  He decided to surprise her and I got to watch Eli while they went.
We had so much fun with him!
And I'm glad we were able to give Isaac and Sarah a fun night out for her birthday!

Brynlee's Birthday Day of Play!

To celebrate this little Monkey's birthday, we took her to Chuck E Cheese!
We had a blast playing games, riding rides and scoring tickets!

She got almost 200 tickets!  And spent them all on candy.
 And a whistle.
We grabbed a slurpee on the way home.
It was a sweet day for a sweet girl!

A Special Night

These 3 got to go to the temple and do Baptisms for the Dead.  Now that Luke is a Priest, he was able to do the proxy baptisms for Cali and Brody!  They all thought that was pretty cool.  I'm bummed I missed it, but so glad they got to have this experience together.

Monday with Eli!

Sarah had a work meeting, so I got to watch my favorite great-nephew!  He loved hanging out with Gav too.  He really likes his beard!
