Another Quick Road Trip!
On August 26th, Candace gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Jane Millie McKinnon. I was supposed to go up for the shower a couple of weeks ago, but then Jeremy decided to break his leg. So, Cali and I decided to head up for Labor Day Weekend and meet our new little princess! I let her ditch school on Friday. After we dropped the boys off at school, we started our trek to Utah! Look what we found in Barstow....

| So Excited!!! |
We didn't have a hard time with traffic at all and made it to Lehi and "Hotel Harris" by 9. We had so much fun hanging out with Harry and Stella and talking and laughing until late that night. Then we were up at 8AM on Saturday so that we could meet up with Can, Cass and the babies in Heber. Candace was feeling good and dying to get out of the house. She wanted to go out check out Swiss Days in Midway-
She may have overestimated her ability to be out walking, with thousands of people, and a storm looming....so we only lasted about 15-20 minutes there. Instead, we found a cute little mexican restaurant and got lunch. Cali was so excited to get some one-on-one time with her boyfriend-
Cass had to get back to Salt Lake, so Cali and I stayed and kept our girls company all day. We did alot of this-
I also helped. I took the dog for a walk, went grocery shopping and made dinner. We spent the whole day with Can and the baby and then made it to "Hotel Bauer" around 10. We got the big guestroom and we were so excited to sleep in the big bed and get a good night's sleep!
I slept horrible! I hate Utah! My nose gets so dry and then gets stuffed up when I try to sleep. I tossed and turned all night and woke up exhausted. But look at this view?
We slowly got up and went to church with Kev. Cali and I only stayed for Sacrament and then back to Kev's to change and get lunch. We thought about spending the day visiting other friends/family, but we headed back to Can's because more visitors were there and we wanted to see them.
I haven't seen June in a while. Here she is with her granddaughter...
Auntie Trini!!!
I love it every time I get to see Shirley and I love this pic!

Once again, we just hung out all day and did this-
Milk Drunk-
We just relaxed and visited and just enjoyed our time with this family. I love them so much and am so glad we made the time to be there and see them. They mean so much to me and I feel privileged that I get to be a part of their lives.
Monday morning, Labor Day, we drove home. It was long, bad traffic, and we almost died a couple of times. But it was so worth it! I love these little excursions we get to have together!
