Last Week we went to Simi Valley to visit Grandma the White and Papa Carl while Nana is off helping Becky and Adam move. We had lots of fun!

FIFA FEVER!!!

I've never really been a soccer fan. My brothers and I played it growing up and my kids play. I cheer at my kids games, but never really paid much attention to the professionals. Until, NOW! Jeremy has always loved the game and plays in an adult league. And while serving his mission in Brazil, the Brasil team won the 1994 World Cup. He's tried to get me to watch, but I never did. Now that the World Cup is happening, I've really enjoyed watching the sport and learning about all the different teams and players. I've caught the fever! And I hope I keep it!

Happy Fathers Day!

I'm pretty lucky when it comes to this day. I gave my dad a card today that read: " To a dad who has always looked out for me; From a daughter who has always looked up to him. " That is the truth. I have been so blessed to have the dad that I have. I have felt loved my whole life because of him. I always wanted to find someone to marry who could be as special as him. And I did! Jeremy is such an amazing dad and so much like my own. His kids love him more than anything in this world! And I know that Jeremy is so great at being a dad, because he had such an amazing dad too! I'm very lucky and happy that I could honor all of them this day! I LOVE YOU DADDY AND JEREMY AND DAD! XOXOXO

A Toy Story Day...

Yesterday was opening day of "Toy Story 3". As an end of the year treat for the kids, I took them up to the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood to see it. Included with the movie, was a fun carnival-type party to play at after! It was so much fun!

MOVIE REVIEW...

BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR!!!! This movie had it all! Although-even though the 3D was cool-I am not a huge 3D fan. It probably is just as good in 2D. The story was great and I totally laughed my butt off and even got teary-eyed in parts and cried at the end. The movie was entertaining from start to finish. We LOVED It! A movie the whole family can enjoy! In Luke's words "...that was a 5 star movie!"

Fun at the Fair

Becky came down with the girls to visit with us one last time, before they move. We went to the fair and had a great time! Here are some shots of our day:

Poor Cali! She loved riding this ride last year. The problem this year-she didn't have Gavin there to ride it with her. She missed being able to hold onto him and bury her head in his shoulder when she got scared. She was so upset. This was her last ride of the day.


Lukey has become quite the fearless boy. He loves the Big Slides and liked this one the best!


Cali picked a ball throwing game and actually won a real prize (not just the little one you get for playing the game). Way to go Cali! Meet "Tangerine" the puppy.

Brody picked a turtle game and won himself "Candy Apple" the turtle.

5th Grade Promotion...

I apologize for the bragging, BUT-HEY!-I'm a mom-that's just part of my job!
Today Gavin finished Elementary School. He received an award for Mathematics and for having a 3.5+GPA. He also got an award for serving on the Safety Patrol. We are so proud of him. Monte Vista put together a little ceremony for the kids and then we got to leave right after. He was so done with that place! He's ready for Middle School!

We continued to celebrate with lunch at Gav's favorite restaurant, "Souplantation". Then his best friend Max came over to play all day! Such a happy day! Yay!

Grad Nite...

Our niece Sarah, graduated from Middle School this evening! Wow-she's going to be in High School (I feel so old)! She is so amazing-not only did she give one of the two student speeches, but also received a special award for being a 4.0+ GPA Student. I am a proud aunt!

Last night was Cali's annual Clogging show. I really liked it because it was only one night this year and there was no intermission. It seemed to go by quicker and the girls all seemed to be having lots of fun! Of course, my favorite dances were the ones that Cali, Chloe and Sarah were in. Here they are after the show:

Our First Family Pet...

The kids have been asking for a pet, well, forever! Last Summer, we were supposed to get a couple of desert tortoises, but they escaped from their previous owner. So, Daddy saved the day and brought home a box turtle today. Meet Charlie...

Cali & Luke - Spring Sing

Today it was 1st and 2nd Grade's turns to Sing! Luke was the star of the show. I wish I would have video taped it. He was "hamming" up! Cali did a really great job of singing, although in between songs, she stood up there sulking (because Daddy didn't make it-he was picking up the creature in my next post!)
