Happy 40th Mirian!

Today is Mirian's 40th Birthday!
But they left early this morning.  So, yesterday we threw her a fun party at the Ranch!

We made her dinner (lemon garlic chicken and steak) and got her tres leche cake!  Meish and Hailee got a pinata!  We ate and danced and played and even finished the night with a birthday toast!
Clover took the pinata down!
Mirian felt very special and loved!  She is both of those!  Glad we could make it a fun day for her and we miss them already.

Friday Fun - June 26th

We had our last Wilson Family beach day.
Jeremy came and taught all the kids how to surf.
That night, we left all the kids at our house and the grown ups went out.  We had a fun, yummy dinner at Park 101 in Carlsbad-
We weren't ready to leave, so we walked the mean streets of Carlsbad to find ice cream-
We found it at Handel's!

We had so much fun hanging out together!  And we got so lucky on wait times!  Park 101 had an hour long wait, but had a huge both that could fit all of us, so we got in with no wait!  Handel's had no line!  None!  It was crazy! And it was Friday!  It worked out so good for us.  Especially beacause Nana and Papa were with us.  And it got us home early for the kids!  I love hanging out with this family!

Coronado

Disclaimer:  These pictures loaded in reverse order.  *sigh*
We really wanted to charter a boat or go on a boat cruise while everyone was here.  But we are bad at planning ahead, so the night before Becky and I decided that we should just go downtown and take the ferry to Coronado.
On Thursday morning (6/25), we all met at Seaport Village at the Carousel.  We got lunch and hung out and then walked down the embarcadero to the ferry landing at the Convention Center.  We took over the top of the boat and had a nice little ride over to Coronado.  It was a perfect day!  Once on Coronado, we decided to walk the bike path.  But stopped at a little park, because everyone kept needing to pee.  We laid on the grass and just relaxed while we waited for everyone to be done.  We were going to walk to the Navy base, but the sidewalk was blocked.  So we turned around in search of ice cream.  That's when we bumped into Kaci and Brian.  They were having a little getaway to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary.
We finished the day with a long walk to Paradiso Gelato. It was so yummy!
We walked back to the ferry landing, took a nice boat ride back to the Convention Center and headed home.  It was such a fun day!

Papusas and Shopping

We love Papusas!
On Wednesday, we all met at the Ranch and headed over to Las Papusas here in Vista for lunch.  We took over the place!
After we filled our bellies full of delicious papusas, the boys went to look at motorcycles and the girls went shopping!

We all ended up back at the Ranch after.  We swam, ate spaghetti and played games.
Another good day!

Wilson Family Pictures

With the whole family here, Papa wanted a family picture done.  I contacted Sarah and she was able to come to the Ranch on Tuesday night and do them.  I think they are going to turn out good!

10 years ago, we took a pic of the grandkids on this waterfall.  We tried to re-enact it-

It went real fast and then we had a BBQ.  It got so wild, that we lit the BBQ on FIRE!
Luckily, Ben knew how to put it out.  Always a good time when we are all together.
