Papa's Birthday!

 June 11, 2022
We had the whole gang over for a fun, pinata birthday for Papa Carl!

I only have video of when he fell over trying to break the pinata!
He's so silly and we had so much fun celebrating him!

Happy Birthday Papa!

The Last Week...

It has been 15 years of  Miss Trisha and it is time to say goodbye.
June 2022
I did my last drop off and pick up at Cal Ave...

Brody finished 10th Grade...

This is the only pic I have of BK on her last day...

I took these girls to the beach on my last day with them...

And their sweet mama brought me treats and flowers to celebrate my retirement.

I can't believe it has been so long and now I can't believe it is over.  It has been the best way for me to spend my time everyday and I have loved every minute of it.  But now it is time for something new!  But first...
The Summer of Trish!
Woohoo!

Grad and Bye Bye LA Party!

Jackie's oldest son Ryan graduated from High School, the same weekend that happened to be their last weekend in LA.  They moved to Texas!
Jackie was so stressed out trying to get everything ready and got home from London late the night before.  I asked her if she needed any help and she said yes.  So, I grabbed Yvonne Saturday morning and off we went!

We ended up just hanging out and being there for her on such a big, emotional day.  It was so much fun getting to know her friends and family and we ended up staying until almost midnight!  I even drove her sister and nieces home.  I'm so glad we could be there to give her support.  It was such a fun day!

Summer Rugby

Brody decided to play Summer 7's with Carlsbad Thunder for the Summer.  And they got to practice at the beach!

SWCA 2022

Star Wars Celebration sold out like 2 years ago.  Well, it was supposed to happen 2 years ago.  But...Covid.  I didn't get tickets at the time because they sold out so fast!  And so, it returned to Anaheim in May 2022.  And I was able to get a job working it!  I worked the Celebration Store all day Friday and Saturday.  On my breaks, I was able to cruise the floor and check some stuff out.  But mostly I was just working my butt off for 12 hours and I loved it!  And I got paid!

Track and Field Banquet

Mission Vista does not have an official Track and Field Team.  But these kids wanted one.  So, Brother Smith volunteered his time and became the coach so that these kids could compete.  Brody decided to join the team in the 100 and 200 Sprints.  These kids are just so fun and good to be around.  We had a little end of season banquet and Brody got his Varsity Letter in Track.

Go Timberwolves!

Disney Ditch Day!

We have not had one of these for a while.  And the Main Street Electrical Parade is back for a limited time.  So, I booked a Plaza Inn Dining Package and took Brody out of school for a fun filled day!

The Dining Package was so worth it.  We got a delicious lunch and a front seat to the parade.  I am so glad I did this and was able to make some special memories with Brody.  Win, Win!

San Franniversary Weekend!

 Alright.
I'm trying not to scream while I write this because the photos loaded in opposite order again.  Even though I checked!
So, for our 26th Anniversary, we celebrated with the Bronsons in San Francisco.  We flew in on a Thursday night and checked into the Westin St Francis.  The same hotel Jeremy and I stayed in on our 2nd Wedding Anniversary!
We got checked in and found a yummy Korean BBQ place to eat at.
We weren't on the same floor, but Jeremy and I had a cool staircase where he would hide and try to jump out and scare the Bronsons.
Friday, we ate a yummy breakfast at the Hotel restaurant.  It is fancy and we tried to be fancy too.
Then we took a tour of our hotel.
It was free and it was actually really cool!
After our tour, we went and saw "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child".  It was so good!
Then we spent the rest of the afternoon exploring downtown and ChinaTown.  We got to see a Chinese Celebration and even met Miss San Francisco.  We also met the ChinaTown missionaries right outside their chapel.
We had dinner at a fun Irish Pub and then witnessed the worst dual piano bar performance along with the worst mocktails ever!
That night, we set up in an empty ballroom and played cards.
Such a fun day!
Saturday, we had one last breakfast at the Oak Room.  Then we hopped on a Street Car and headed down to the wharf!  We strolled along the wharf and Pier 39.  We watched a cool street performance and got clam chowder bread bowls from Boudin!
We got passed by a street car when we needed to head back to the hotel.  So, we grabbed an uber and then it was off to the airport.
We had the most fun weekend!  Happy Anniversary to us!
