The kids' Disneyland Day
These 3 wanted one more Disney day before the missions. My back was still not doing good, so the 3 of them went on their own and had themselves a marvelous day!
I love them so much and am so glad that they got to have this day together.
Rookie of the Year
Monday, March 7th-
Rugby Banquet
We got to attend the MVHS/VISTA Rugby pizza party and award ceremony. The coaches went through each player and talked about them and how great they were. The Alta/Vista coach got up at the end and finally talked about Brody. My kid is a stud and got the award of Rookie of the Year, but for the Vista/Alta team, because he played so much for their team to help them out. He was stoked and we are so proud of him!
And he got his first varsity letter!
The pics
Sunday, March 6th-
All of us, except Luke, spent the whole weekend sick with the stomach flu. It was cold and rainy, so it made it easier to stay inside.
But, we were now a week away from Luke's Farewell and I needed to get the announcement ready. I was feeling a little better in the afternoon on Sunday, so we just went outside and took some pics with my phone. They turned out pretty good.
And then we came in the house and Luke got sick! Yay!
BB's Birthday Date Night
Friday, March 4th-
A few weeks late, but we got our birthday date in with BB! She's 14! WTH!?!
We had pizza at the new pizza place in town, followed by shakes from Peppertree. Then we came home and watched the new WestSide Story.
It was such a fun night! We love our special dates with these girls.
Then, after Bailey left, our whole family got hit with the stomach flu for the weekend! Yay!
A very special night
Tuesday, March 1st-
These 2 decided to go through the temple for their own endowments together. Sniff, sniff.
And they just wanted it to be us. No big deal.
I don't want to post too much about their experience. It was personal for them. But it was a little overwhelming for both of them and not exactly the super spiritual experience that they had hoped for. We tried explaining that the first time is always a little awkward and alot to take in. And that each time you go, the easier and more special it becomes.
But, Jeremy and I sure loved being their escorts and being in the temple with them. It was an incredible experience for us, as parents, having this moment with our children. I love their commitment to the Lord and their willingness to do what He has asked of them. Those smiles are the real deal. This family is forever!
End of Season
Friday, Feb 18th
The family came out for Brody's last tourny of the season. He was a beast! Gosh we love this sport! Can't wait for next year!
