A Very Happy Thanksgiving!

This year, Thanksgiving Dinner was to take place at Our House!  We invited both families, the McEwans and the Wilsons and the Missionaries.
I spent the morning cooking and cleaning, while Jeremy took these 2 to play in the annual soccer turkey bowl...
We got to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade...
And Jeremy was determined to make a turkey this year.  We were expecting a lot of people, so we made 3 turkeys.  I roasted 2 and Jeremy Barbecued the third one....oh yeah!
Gammy and Papa were the first ones to arrive and they had birthday presents for Gav.  They were in Florida visiting G & S & the kids and playing at Disney World for the last few days.
So, everyone arrived around 3:00 PM.  Carter had us all get together so that he could take a picture to send to Sarah.  She was supposed to be in Idaho visiting her new boyfriend's family.  Just as he was about to take the picture, Sarah and Isaac (the new boyfriend), burst through the back door and surprised us all!

It was pretty awesome!  Tears were shed, hugs were given out...
And then we feasted!  It was such a beautiful day and it was nice to sit outside and enjoy it...

And I was so excited to have so many loved ones here in our home...

Of course, the ukulele was played...

And I go these cool table cloths that you could color and play games on...

 And there was pie...
Once it got dark, the kids played upstairs...

 And we watched some football...

But my 49ers were getting killed by the Seahawks, and I just couldn't watch anymore...
These guys played some cards...
And there was some Jamberry and Sudo Silk happening...
So grateful for those we got to share the holiday with.  It was pretty special.

 The Thanksgiving 2014 Crew...

He's 16! For Reals!

Yesterday was the day...
It happened...
He turned 16!!!
We started the day with his favorite breakfast, french toast!
He wanted to head to the mall and spend his birthday money and gift cards that he got at his party...
We went to Game Stop and got Steam cards, then went to Hot Topic and he finally purchased the AC Hoodie and a My Chemical Romance T.  I wanted a birthday selfie.  He said no smiling...
It was just the Bug and Me.  I got him In n Out for lunch and tricked him into a visit to the Tailor Shop to get his suits tailored.  I loved spending some one on one time with him on his special day.
When we got home, I let him open his gift from Cali.
She got him a new gaming headset.
He was pretty happy about it...
And the he spent the rest of the afternoon here...
When Daddy got home, it was (the rest of the) Present Time!
He got some cool Star Wars books from his brothers...

Then he got Loot Crate from Mom and Dad...

Once again, he was pretty stoked!

He chose Rubio's for dinner (Yay!) and then I took him and Cali to see "Interstellar".  That was a very cool movie!
I've been crying a lot over this kid lately.  I can NOT believe he is 16.  Today it hit me that he is just going to get older and bigger.  My little boy is gone....
I love him so much and can't wait ( and a little scared) to continue on the adventure of being his mom!
Happy Birthday Bug!
