Back to the Future Day
October 21, 2015
This is when Marty and Doc went back to the future in "Back to the Future II". Gav wanted to celebrate by dressing like Marty McFly. That night when I went to grab us some dinner, I parked next to this...
So Fun!
"There's been an awakening..."
On October 19th, the official trailer for "The Force Awakens" premiered during half time od MNF. It was beautiful! And then tickets went on sale. The on-line ticket sites kept crashing, so I sent Jeremy to the theater and he got us all tickets to the very first showing, 7:30 PM on December 17th! Now we wait....
40 BABY!!!
40 is FABULOUS!!!
My family really out did themselves, giving me a very special, memorable birthday. On Saturday, October 17th, our day started out like any other Saturday, with soccer games. Both teams tied. Jeremy told me we had to hurry home and get ready because he had a "surprise" planned for me. But first- presents from my kiddos. I got lots of legos and a book. They know me so well!
After present time with the kids, Jeremy whisked me away to Hollywood for the night. He had reservations for us at L'Assiette Steak Frites. This place was DELICIOUS! Steak Frites are now my favorite. The place was small and romantic. We had a wonderful server from France. And we had two amazing courses and I even got a Shirley Temple.
This is what heaven in your mouth looks like...
After our awesome dinner, I got my "surprise". FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE CONCERT AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL!!! I kind of, ok, really, obviously, dropped major hints leading up to my birthday that this was something I really wanted to do. So, it wasn't much of a surprise. BUT, he did surprise me with close box seats!!! The concert was wonderful! She put on an amazing show. I loved every minute!!!
She finished the night with my favorite song, "Louder". I was on Cloud 9! It was such an amazing day. I love that my family made it so special. It was perfect!
Jeremy had asked if I wanted a party. I said no. He asked if he could invite some people over for dessert to celebrate my birthday on Sunday. I said sure! I thought that just meant the family. My parents showed up early with all sorts of decorations...
And my mom got me a fancy accessory (of course...)
And then around 6, people started showing up...
And more people...
AND MORE!!!
50+ people later, and LOTS of desserts, IT WAS A PARTAY!!!
Cali made me an amazing chocolate fudge cake with chocolate frosting...
And I got some very sweet cards and gifts...
I felt so loved surrounded by so many people that mean so much to me...
Celebrating my 40th Birthday was a special experience for me. I truly felt the love and feel so blessed for this life I get to live and the people I get to live it with! Happy Birthday to me!
