Mother/Daughter Paint Nite

This year for Mothers Day, I got my mom and I a Groupon for Paint Nite.  But, I didn't tell her what we were doing.  She came over and I took her to Yellow Deli for dinner.
Then, we walked across the street to Fifty Barrells Urban Winery for our Paint Nite!

Mom's looked so good!  This whole experience was really neat and fun!  I can't believe we actually painted a picture of a park and that they turned out nice!  Well, I knew hers would be nice, but mine?
 I guess I did ok...
Neither one of us has ever done anything like this before.  It was a really fun experience and I'm so glad we got to do it together.  I love my Mama!

7th Grade Ren Faire

Last Wednesday was Cali's Ren Faire.  Doesn't she look cute???
They had a bunch of activities to do.  Jeremy got locked in the stocks and got his fortune told.  I had to leave early.  But she had a fun night with her friends and also got to show off some of the work she has done this year.  Like "New Alderaan".
Love my Angel!

The Last Band Concert...

I'm a little out of order on my posts... Sorry!  I've been sick!
So, last Tuesday was Cali's FINAL Band Concert.  She has decided that she is done playing.  (sniff, sniff)
I got to the school nice and early and got us front row seats.

They played an amazing set!  I'm really going to miss seeing her up there playing the french horn.  I am so proud of her hard work and that she was able to make the Mustang Band in 7th Grade.

Career Day

Friday was Gavin's Career Day.  This year I was able to get him hooked up with Aaron Thomas at DC.  I drove him up and dropped him off at the HQ in Huntington Beach.  While he spent 4 hours learning the biz, I went shopping.  But I felt awful.  I was battling a bad sinus headache.  So, I grabbed some lunch and headed here...
I sat on the beach and ate my lunch and just relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful day.  It didn't help that much though.  I grabbed Gav at 1:00 and we headed home.  I white-knuckled it all the way home.  My head and stomach were not happy!  I barely made it home and puked my brains out!  No Fun!
BUT, Gav had a great time at DC.  Aaron took care of him and allowed him to see that work can be fun and creative!  That you can do something you love!  And that you can be cool and LDS too!  So glad I was able to keep it together so that he could have this experience.

All Things Bright and Beautiful...

I love being outside!
Today while the kids were playing, I went and took pics of my favorite places in the yard...

It IS nice to stop and admire the beauty of the earth that was created for us.

D & D FHE

Meet Keira...
She is my D&D character.  She's an Elven Rogue.
Our family has decided to start playing D&D.  And last night was the start of our first adventure.
Gavin is our DM (Dungeon Master)-
Carter and Chloe wanted to come be a part of the action...

We our on a quest to get a key from a dungeon that will unlock the castle gate...
We battled Goblins, Spiders and Brody singed his eyebrows while getting hit by a booby trap!
We had so much fun!  Can't wait to see where this goes...

Meghan's Baptism

This is Meghan Wynott.  She was baptised on Saturday.  And she is a special girl.  Her mom died last summer of Cancer.  She has come to live with her aunt Cindy in Vista.  She wanted to find the church and be baptised, so that she can be with her mom again someday.  There is something so special and sweet about this girl.  I'm so glad for the bond we share and I hope and pray that she has a life full of happy blessings.  She deserves it.

The Last Supper w/ Grandpa Duck

Grandpa Doug went back to Utah on Saturday.  Before he left, we all met up at the "Pit Stop" in Oceaside for a fun family dinner.  I'm so glad we got to see him and that my kids got to hang out with their Great Grandpa.

Best Day of the Year!

Mothers Day 2015!
I'm going to be honest and admit that I didn't feel like really celebrating this year.  I've had a rough couple of months and feel like I'm not doing too good in the Motherhood department.  But what I realize is that, no matter what, I love being a mother.  More important,  I love being the mom of these kids.  They are my everything!
And this Sunday, they really made me feel loved right back...
 My Breakfast in Bed view...
The morning started with a migraine.  But I got up, snuck downstairs and took my medicine.  I climbed back in bed and around 9:00 AM, the kids came up with the wonderful eggs, bacon and hashbrown breakfast.  AND their cards!  I love their cards!
I came downstairs and saw the vases of flowers and I felt so loved and happy.  Then, the phone rang.  It was Tom Hogan, Graham's Grandpa (Marshall's Dad).  Him and Heidi were down for the weekend watching Graham, while Cass and Marsh went on a little getaway to New York.  Well, Cass & Marsh's plane was diverted due to a medical emergency.  Not theirs, thank goodness.  But, they were stranded in Indianapolis.  Tom and Heidi had to catch their own plane to Utah, so they brought Graham to me!  YAY!!  Best Mothers Day Ever!
He was so dang cute and went to church with us.  We loved having him with us and I loved seeing Brody sing the Mothers Day songs with the Primary.  Graham went to Nursery, no problem and made Cass her first Mothers Day card (homemade).  I got to enjoy YW and then we all came home and rested.  Cass and Marsh made it safely back and came to get their little man.  Cass loved her card.  They were so tired from their long day, so they didn't hang out.  I was kind of bummed,  I wanted more Hogan time!  But I felt good knowing I could help them out and so happy that I got to see them all!
The rest of the afternoon was filled with food and presents!
I got a yoga mat, yoga dvd and a couple of movies that I love!

But this is my favorite.  The "Family Love".  We just sat on the couch, talking and snuggling and then we watched "Ever After" and "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty".
Jeremy made me an amazing BBQ Steak dinner and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.  This is the best day of the year.  I can do this Mom thing.  I can do it right!  I will love these 4 forever and I will do my best to make sure they feel it and know it!  I thank my Father in Heaven every day for letting me be a Mother!  Happy Mothers Day!

#GoBills The Season is over...

Saturday was Brody's last game.  The grandparents all came out to cheer him on.  They won 25-12 and beat the 49ers.  He got 2 flags!

We missed his team party because it was on a Sunday.  So, his wonderful team mom saved all his prizes and gave them to him after the game.  He learned alot this season and played way more than last year.  I loved his coach and team mom.  I'm so glad he had this experience and I hope he decides to play next year.  I love watching him play!  Way to go Brody Bear!
