Have Courage; Be Kind

For our Laurel activity this week, we went to see "Cinderella".  It was Magical!  It was so well done and it was just absolutely beautiful to watch.  I'm so glad I got to see it with these girls.  And I got crowns for us all.  Aren't we adorable???

Baby Wren

 Saturday March 21st...
It started out as just a normal Saturday morning.  I had just gathered the family in the family room for a run down of our very busy day.  Then Jeremy came in and broke the news.  He had just got off the phone with Jimmy.  Whitney was in the hospital and something went wrong while giving birth.  She was bleeding out and Jimmy was worried that she could die.  Jimmy asked Jeremy to drive to his house and get Tutu and Ever and bring them to the hospital....just in case.
We dropped everything.
We knelt down and had a family prayer and then Jeremy left.
He drove fast...very fast and got the girls to the hospital.  Ever got to meet her baby sister and fell in love!  But Mommy wasn't doing too good.  The doctors were finally able to stop the bleeding and get her into surgery.  They had to do an emergency hysterectomy.  But they saved her life.  By 3:00 that afternoon, we knew that everything should be ok.  Jeremy stayed at the hospital all day, so that he could be there to help.  He was able to help Jimmy give Whitney a blessing when she came out of surgery.  He was also able to take Tutu and Ever back home, so that Jimmy wouldn't have to leave Whitney.  It was a long, emotional day.  But we are so happy that this family is ok.
And look at that proud papa-
I got to go and meet Wren Mara on Monday night.  Isn't she beautiful???
 I Love Her...
I was so happy to walk in the room and see Whitney.  It was quite emotional...
They are sad that they can't have any more kids, but so glad to be together.
This family is special and I am so grateful they are all ok!

Mini Day = Mini Golf

Last Friday, Brody and Gavin had a minimum day.  Hunter's mom works full-time and it was my day off, so I offered to take the kids to Boomers!  Brody and I hung out while these 2 had a little date...
We spied on them a lot and then joined them for laser tag-
It was a fun day!

Brody's Spring Exhibition

March 18th, HTeNC held its Spring Exhibition.  Brody's 3rd Grade Class has been working on learning about the "Social Norms Around Gender and Race".  Focusing mostly on marketing and the way things are marketed to different genders.

Brody's group was in charge of designing, creating and selling the t-shirts....
They also wrote their own fairy tales and stories where they experienced a time when they were judged by either their gender, race or any other characteristic.  Brody wrote a story about how he was judged by his size and how he looks.  It was about his first football practice and how the other kids thought he wasn't going to be good because he had never played before.
These are his "positive affirmations" that get him through hard things...
We are so proud of this kid and all he is learning and doing...

Great Job Brody Bear!
