Grease Lightning

How cool does my little greaser look?  Friday night was the talent show.  And Cali has been practicing everyday and so excited to do the Grease Medley with her ASB class.
And these 2 got to join us for the fun...
They were seriously the best act!  And Cali was seriously (no bias), the best one up there.  You could tell she was having so much fun!

Her fan club...

A really good band closed the show and Brody was allowed to try the drums...
He wants to learn to play the drums so bad!
After the show, I took these 4 for some frozen yogurt.  It was a great night!

Lukey's 13th Birthday Celebration

Last night we gathered at Lamppost Pizza to celebrate Luke's birthday with the family.  Every year, a new Marvel movie comes out around his birthday.  And he loves the tradition of pizza and a movie to celebrate!  Gammy, Papa, Nana, Papa, Zac, Tracy and Chloe came to enjoy the night with us!
 He got legos!!

And some fun things from Gammy...
Then, most of us headed next door to the theater to see "Captain America; Civil War".

It was a wild and crazy movie full of new characters and lots of fighting and different storylines to try and keep up with.  But it was entertaining and I liked it!
It was fun to go with such a big group and have fun together to celebrate Luke!

The Car...

Last night, we purchased a 3rd car.  It is not Gav's car.  It is the family's car that he has the priviledge of driving.  Still, this is a big deal.  He is now officially a driver.
Oh Boy!  Here's to more sleepless nights and stress for mom and dad!

May the 4th be with You!

 Yesterday was May the 4th!
Now that the kids are bigger and more busy, we don't get to celebrate all day long with games and stuff like we used to.  But we did all wear our Star Wars shirts.  I had to make my own, because none of my others fit...

We did watch some Lego Star Wars episodes at night and I did get them all little Star Wars gifts, that I totally forgot to give to them.  But, I figure I can give those to them today on Revenge of the Fifth!

YW in Excellence

Tuesday night was YW in Excellence!  And Cali got to put a little display together that represents who she is.  She also got to share a little of what brings her closer to her Heavenly Father.  She shared that the friendships she has made in YW has brought her closer to God.  All of the girls did such a great job.  It made me miss being in YW.

13

Luke is officially a teenager!
Today was the big day and it was also Fast Sunday.  We took a break from fasting, so that he could have a donut hole breakfast.  We went to church and then came home and he wanted a Red Baron pizza for lunch.
I kept asking him the last couple of weeks what he wanted to do.  He said he just wanted to stay home and watch movies and play video games.  I asked if he wanted people to come over for a party.  He said no.  He really wants to celebrate with everyone on Thursday and go see Captain America Civil War.  So, that's what we will do,  So, I took a nice afternoon nap.  Luke enjoyed watching Pixar short films with his sibs and he even got to lick the brownie mix bowl...
We BBQ'd for dinner and he ate a double cheese burger!
 Then it was present time!
Dr. Who Lego Dimensions from Gavin-

Donald Duck, Yondu and Sam Flynn Disney Infinity Characters from Brody-

A Funko Pop Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Cali-

 Books from Nana & Papa-

And the new Starfox game from Mom and Dad-

He spent the rest of the afternoon playing with his new games...
Then we finished the night with 13 candles on some brownies-

He told me right after this that "it was a great birthday!"  I even let him watch a few episodes of "Bob's Burgers" with the family.
I love this kid.  Can't believe he is entering his teens!  I hope he stays the sweet helper boy that he is.  Happy Birthday Lukey!

Paint Nite!

Last year, I barely saw this lady!  But so far this year, we have been able to get together 3 times!  And I hope we get to keep it up.  As a late birthday present, I wanted to take her to a paint nite.  So, last Wednesday, we made it happen.  First, we had dinner at the Company Pub & Kitchen and then got to stay right there and do our "Misty Forest" painting.

We had so much fun!  I love that I get to still have this amazing friendship after all these years!
