Meet Sakurai!

Because I had been so sick, there just wasn't a good time to drive down to the Tree Farm and cut down a tree.  Plus, the kids said they are kind of done with that tradition.  Sad.  But Gavin and Brody are both allergic to sap, so it makes sense.  For FHE on 12/10, we headed over to Home Depot and got ourselves the prettiest Christmas Tree!
It was a Noble Fir and it was perfect in every way!
We had fun looking through all of the trees and finding the perfect one.  And the boys named her Sakurai.  I mean him...
I love Christmas with these goobers!
She's a beaut Clark!  or he...

Blues Brothers Date Night!

OK, I got hit with a horrible cold and sinus infection.  I kept thinking it would just go away.  But it didn't!  I felt awful and lost my voice.  But we had tickets to see Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi as the "Blues Brothers", so I had to pull it together and go.
 So glad I did...

 It was so much fun!

These guys know how to put on a show!  It was awesome hearing them perform songs from the movie and the band was incredible!
So worth it!

Winter Formal

This year, Cali wasn't all that thrilled with going to the dance.  Hardly any of her friends were going, but she was required to be there because of ASB.  To help get her a little bit more excited, we got her hair done at Salon de Compound!
Kaci loves doing hair!  And loved doing Cali's because she doesn't cry or scream!

These girls made her feel beautiful and special!

She opted for a glittery jumpsuit this year AND SHE ROCKED IT!

We sure love this beautiful angel of ours!

Showering Keri!

Keri is pregnant and having a BOY!
We got to shower her with love, gifts and doughnuts!

So happy for her and Scott and can't wait to see her as a mama!

(Maybe) The Last Steel Drum Concert

Luke's last Steel Drum Concert of the year and maybe the last ever.  It really stressed him out this semester and he just isn't sure if it is worth it.  But we sure enjoyed listening to the wonderful songs!

Nana & Papa got to come this time...
And we are his biggest fans!

I really hope he does it again.  But, if not, I'm really glad he had this experience!

It's beginning to look a little like...and feel like...

We did good this year and got the lights up the first weekend of December!  And we read our first book of Christmas!  Bring it!

A "not-so-appropriate" Gift

So, we got Gammy tickets to see the musical "Waitress" for her birthday. We went down to San Diego to see it the first Saturday of December. I did not even look or research what the subject matter was.  It was full of suggestive and sexual themes as well as jam packed with profanity!  Happy Birthday Mom!

At least it had some great songs, really good acting and it ended good!
Still glad I got a fun night out with these girls!
