November in So Cal

 This is how we do Thanksgiving Break!

Its been 80+ degrees all week.  So we went to the beach to enjoy it!

MMRAS

 On Sunday, we headed out to the Ranch because MMRAS are here for Thanksgiving Break!  We loved playing with our cousins...

 And we got to Skype Becky and the kids and draw names for Christmas!

SWEET SIXTEEN!!!

16 years ago...

 Man...I've had quite the emotional week.  No, he's not 16 just yet.  That happens on Tuesday.  But the closer it gets, the harder it is to believe.  It happened too fast!  I can't even begin to express all the emotions that are flowing through me right now.  I love this kid so much.  Becoming a mom, his mom was the most special day of my life.  

Last night, we threw him a "Totally Awkward Middle School 80's Dance" Party.  Because that's what he wanted.  Jeremy and I worked all day getting everything ready.  And I enlisted the help of Michelle Iglesias (Shellebelle Cakes), to make this bad bay-

We got the Bonus Room all decked out for the Dance Party...

 And we even had the original "Tron" Movie on the Big Screen...

 And these 2 were my totally awesome helpers!

 Gav's only refreshment request was a punch bowl of Mtn. Dew-

 At 7:00 PM, the guests began to arrive...

Even Granny came!  Yay!

 For the first hour, no one really danced.  They just kind of hung out and talked.

 But then we brought the "Just Dance" up and they began to get their groove on...

Lightsabers were brought out...

 Around 8:30, we stopped the music and had cake and present time...

He got lots of cool shirts, gift cards and money...

 Oh!  And he got some bow ties too!  Because bow ties are cool!

Then it was back upstairs for more dancing.  This time, everyone was getting into it and I broke out the glow sticks-

 I had fun hanging out downstairs with the grown ups most of the night, while Jeremy DJ'ed...

 And Scrac and Meish came for the After Party!!! Woot Woot!  Scrac was wide awake...

 This one may have had a little too much Dew...

But Scrac got a nice Wolverine Massage out of it...

 Scrac woke up after 2 pieces of cake, a slice of pie and way too much Dew...

 And here he is!  The Man of the Hour!  My Bug.  He doesn't like to smile for pictures.  Wonder who he gets that from?  He had a great night.  His buddies Ramos and Aidan spent the night and they were up until 2AM watching 80's movies.  

Raising this boy is a lot of work.  I don't always get it right.  I want him to be happy & healthy and I want him to love being him.  He's pretty special and I am so blessed to be his mom.  Happy 16th Bug...
