Once Christmas morning was finished, it was time to throw up the Birthday Banner and celebrate our Girl! We decided on a birthday brunch, that we feasted on all morning...
Then it was present time!

Then it was Mom & Dad's turn...
She had no idea what it could be...
but she knew it was something big and awesome...
because that is what everyone kept telling her.
She was a little confused when she saw the size of the box...
And she was totally shocked when she saw what was inside...
A concert t-shirt and tickets to see TAYLOR SWIFT!!!!!
When we got to Gammy's that afternoon, Gammy had some birthday decorations up to make Cali feel special-
And we had to take some pics to commemorate the occasion-
We love our Angel! Can't believe she's a teenager!!!
After Christmas dinner, we let her open her last birthday gift from Mark & Tracy and her cousins...
I made her favorite chocolate silk pie with the oreo cookie crust. And because we are not happy about her turning into a teenager, there are only 2 candles!
Gavin had to go and blow out one of the candles before she was ready...hence my annoyed face...
But she got to still make her wish and loved her pie!
This was the first year she felt a little bummed that her birthday was on Christmas. She felt a little lost in all the commotion. I have always made sure that this day was special for her, and so I hope I can do a better job next year, so that she doesn't feel that way again.
But then, this morning, when she got up, she said she stopped to think and realized that it was a special birthday. She is so thankful for all of her family and friends and all the sweet wishes and gifts they made sure she received yesterday.
She is pretty dang awesome. And I remind her every year that her Father in Heaven must have thought the same thing, since he let her be born on Jesus' Birthday!
Happy 13th Angel! We love you so much!
