13!!

I don't know how it happened, but Brody is now a teenager!
He turned 13 on April 1st!
This year, his birthday landed on a Tuesday.  We invited the whole family over to celebrate the Sunday night before.
And here's me trying to get a nice pic of Brody and his sibs on his special day...

 Finally!
All of Brody's biggest fans came to celebrate!

He hates to smile.  But here he is, happy as can be to open his gifts-

And the thing he wanted most-
A lemon bundt cake!

 It was delicious!
I no longer have any "kids".  3 teens and an adult!  I feel so old, but so blessed!  I love this baby of mine!  HBD Big Boy!  We Love You!

Rock the Ice!

Adam turned 40 and wanted us all to go Curling!
Jen found a place in Irvine, so straight from WonderCon, I met everyone there and sent my kids home with Gavin, so that I could have fun with grown up friends!
Kaci even made us all matching shirts!
This was our team.  We sucked!  But our coach was not very cool.  So we blame him.  But it still was so much fun!
Here's our Curling Crew!  We have the bestest friends!  I'm so glad Adam had a birthday so that we could all have this fun night on the ice.  (Even if my feet were numb!)

WonderCon 2019

WonderCon landed at the end of Spring Break this year.  I booked a room at our favorite hotel and we drove up Friday morning and got our geek on!
I really love how we do this con.  After parking at the hotel, we headed to the food trucks for lunch.  We had some fun outside before the doors opened...
We sat right next to this huge Bumblebee.  Brody took a pic with me and we got free bags and chargers for posting our pic on Social Media.  Then we headed in...

Friday was our Arena Day!  We spent the whole day in there!  We started with a Dark Phoenix panel...

 And I found Alex!
 This movie looks amazing!
Then it was time for Tolkien.  I cried.  I'm so excited to see this movie!
Gavin and Kristen cosplayed as SpiderMan and SpiderPunk...
 Gunter loved his bunk...
That night, we headed over to Shakey's Pizza for a fundraiser and got to see lots of movie/tv cars in the parking lot-
The A Team Van
 Starsky & Hutch
 Pizza Planet Truck!!

Had a blast and got to support a Ghostbusters Cosplay group!
That night, I watched the Disneyland fireworks for the hotel roof-
All by myself.  But it was still cool.
This kid was up at 6:30 AM!!!  He knew what time breakfast would start and he wanted to be there right at the start!  I made him wait until 7:00, and then just him and I headed down.  He was stoked on his Mickey waffles and he ate so much food!
We didn't have any early morning panels to get to, so we took our time.  Once we checked out of the hotel, we headed to the Exhibit Hall to check out some of our favorite booths and get some swag-
Saturday was Joker'Harley Day-
Gavin and Kristen were off doing their own thing most of the day.  So, I got to hang out with Brody and Luke most of the day.  We had a great time!
We scored some free "Tolkien" prints...
And Luke was stoked on his Thanos purchases...
It has been 80 years of Batman!  And we got to go to a fun panel to celebrate...
We got these cool flashlights...

Enjoyed a panel with writers, artists and famous Bruce Waynes and Batmans-
And the most iconic "CatWoman" - Lee Meiweather!
And everyone got birthday cupcakes!

After our fun Batman Celebration panel, we met up in the Arena with Gav and Kristen for the "Shazam" panel!  Zachary Levy is seriously the most fun!
We ended our day after "Shazam!" and made the walk back to our awesome hotel to grab the car.  I had the best weekend hanging out with my favorite geeks!  But we had to hurry and leave because I had another adventure to get to.  Next Post...
