This year, the plan was to go to the Rose Parade. But, then, my dad's truck broke and he couldn't get the trailer out of our yard. We debated whether to go anyway...but decided that it is still too hard for all the kids to sleep out on the street. We were pretty bummed. So, I hopped online and tried to find something fun we could do instead. Legoland was having a special Holiday Hopper deal...both parks (the aquarium & the theme park), were only $59...PLUS you get another hopper ticket free!
New Years Eve....After Daddy got home from surfing we loaded up the car and headed to-
We started out at the SeaLife Aquarium, because we had never been there before-
It was pretty cool.
Hello Legoland! The park was still all decked out for the Holidays and it was CROWDED! But we knew it would be...so we headed to the parts of the park we hadn't seen before.
First Stop -
I was SOOOOO Excited! It was so cool! I want to go back when there are less people and I can really check it all out and take my time. We loved it all!
We spent the day playing with legos and riding a few rides. It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun just hangin' out and not trying to do too much. At 6:00 PM...the park has a New Years Party and Brick Drop and FIREWORKS! We got a great spot and took in the show...
The fireworks were so fun and Lukey LOVED them because we all got these special glasses that turn all the lights in to lego bricks!!! So Cool!
We had a great day! It was still early when Legoland closed (7:00 PM), so we grabbed some food at Mama's & Papa's on the way home. Then we changed into our pj's and headed to the Ranch for a Ringin' in the New Year Party!
We take Partying very seriously...
Nana & I bought fun hats and party gear...
Daisy got to join in ...
Everyone made it to midnight (except for Brody) and we got to see the ball drop in Times Square (3 hours later.)-
Happy New Year!
It ended up being one of our best New Years Ever! 2012 was truly a wonderful year for our family. I can't wait for 2013!
