2 days after Cali got home from Girls Camp (Saturday June 29th), The 3 of us headed to Utah to take Luke to his first EFY!
We drove to St. George and stayed in a hotel.
We slept in on Sunday, and then drove to Jordan & Kerrisa's in Bluffdale. And we got to meet Baby Isla!
That afternoon, we drove up to Holladay and met the Bauer Clan at a park to celebrate the twins' birthday! It was so much fun to see and spend time with everyone!
And we got to meet Phoebe!
We played and played with all of our favorite littles!
So glad we got to be there! Happy 2nd Birthday Mara & Freya!
Monday, July 1st,
After a stop at Target to get Luke some pj's and a lunch stop at In N Out, we got this guy all checked in-
He wouldn't let me walk him to his room, but his roommate Ben, let his dad up, so he got this pic for me, Yay!-
After we dropped him off, we grabbed Nicole from work and headed up to Sundance for lunch!
We love her so much and it was such a beautiful day!
After dropping off Nicole, we did a LITTLE shopping!
Then we got to babysit these cuties and we had ourselves a nail party!
Tuesday, July 2nd,
Cali and I headed to Provo, picked up Chloe and met these cuties for lunch!
Then we went back to Chloe's dorm and waited for Christian.
We hung out for a bit and then I took them to see the new Men In Black movie followed by dinner at a totally hipster pizza place in downtown Provo (Mozz).
Loved getting to spoil them for the day! Thank You Utah for $5 Tuesdays!
Wednesday July 3rd,
We got up early and headed up to Downtown SLC to meet my Grandma and Aunt Barbara for brunch at the Little America Hotel. That place is fancy!
Brunch was expensive and kind of gross. Grandma was not happy. But we sure had fun visiting with her and Barbara. Grandma had to get Grandpa to a Dr. Appt., so Cali I decided to spend the day at Temple Square.
We met the sweetest Sisters! We talked to them for a bit and they helped me deal with some feelings I was struggling with. I fell in love with them!
It was a gorgeous day and we loved walking the grounds...
We took a potty and snack break at Blue Lemon. Look at that view!
Then we spent the rest of the afternoon and evening visiting Grandma & Grandpa. He's battling an infection in his arm and she has a sore back. So we picked up dinner for them and just hung out talking until late at night. It was so nice to have that time with them.
Thursday, JULY 4th!
Happy Birthday USA!
We grabbed Chloe again and headed up to Park City. Kev got us into the "Beach Club" at Promontory. We laid out in the sun, swam with all the little cuties, ate yummy food and the girls even did a little kayaking.
It actually got cold and cloudy and started to rain, so we grabbed our stuff and headed to Kev's new place in Silver Springs. It is gorgeous!
We spent the afternoon running around and playing with the puppy and horses.
Kev, Andrea and the kids made a yummy dinner...
And these 2 had fun playing with all the kidlets in the play room-
Everyone had to leave to spend fireworks with their in-laws, except for Trini and Henrique. So we all bundled up on Kev's back porch and got to see 3 different firework shows! I love Utah! (Just on the 4th of July and sometimes the 24th.)
We had such a wonderful day! So grateful to have this family in our lives! And so grateful for this wonderful country we get to live in! Happy 4th!
Friday, July 5th,
We were worked! What a week! We got up, packed up all of our stuff and left Bluffdale. We grabbed Chloe again and drove back up to SLC and met up with Becky and Cordy for lunch. We went to Blue Lemon and it was gross! Not the Blue Lemon we used to love. But it was fun to see them anyway!
We took a little detour up to the U and they lived out ther High School Musical dreams...
We went up to Ogden for dinner and had ourselves a whole lot of fun with Steph and fam! Pizza and Badminton night! Love these people so much!
That night, we took Chloe back to Provo and told her goodbye. Cali and I stayed in a hotel close by.
Saturday, July 6th,
We had to be up at 6:30 to pick up Lukey. We picked him up at 7AM! He had such a great week! We spent the rest of the day driving home! We got home around 8 and were so glad to be back!
Luke realy had some wonerful experiences that he said were even to personal to share. I'm so glad he got to have this experience, because just after we got back, we found out that the church is doing away with efy.
