Christmas Eve

This was one of my all time favorite Christmas Eves!  We were invited over to different places for the night, but decided to just stay home instead.  I wasn't feeling great, and did not make any plans for dinner.  Jeremy came home from work tired and didn't want to go out and get food.  So, we had mac n cheese and pasta for dinner.  Then we made a fire and watched "A Christmas Story".
After the movie, we all got our jammies on and played a game (Apples 2 Apples).  And Daddy read "T'was the Night Before Christmas" in a Jamaican accent.

Then we all snuggled on the couch and watched 2 of the Christmas videos that the church put out this year with their #ASaviorisBorn campaign.  We talked about what Jesus' birth means to us this day.  Then we read the real Christmas Story in the Bible and had a nice family prayer.
Then the kids got all snug in their beds....
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...
All the presents were wrapped and under the tree...
 Cookies were left for Santa...
And somewhere around midnight, I finally went to bed.
I loved our family Christmas Eve night.  It was so nice to just be us in our own home and really enjoy the Spirit of Christmas.

Temple Lights 2015

Last night we took time to make sure we got in one of our favorite Christmas traditions.
The Temple Light Display.
This year, it was voted the best "Non-Commercial" Light Display in San Diego.
And it is....

It was absoultely beautiful.  And you can feel the Spirit so strong when you walk around the grounds and here the music playing.  So peaceful!  We capped off the night with a trip to McDonald's for ice cream and hot chocolate.  Love, Love, Love this time of year...

Missionary Christmas Dinner

Every year, I try to have the Missionaries over for dinner the week of Christmas.  And one of our favorite things to do with them when they are here, is to have a Christmas Tree Decorating Contest!
So, it was Elder Friend, Elder Wilson, Jer, Gavin, Cali and Brody in the competition.  I took the pics and Luke was the judge.

And the winner is....Elder Wilson!  He got a teddy bear prize!
I'm glad we get to add some Chirstmas fun to the Missionaries at Christmas time.  We love them and appreciate all that they do.  It so nice to have them in our home.  A Christmas blessing for sure!

Wilson Family Christmas 2015

Sunday night, the California Wilsons gathered at our house for the Wilson Family Chrismas!
I made a yummy roast and we had a baked potato bar.  We ate until our tummies were full, then we sat around the fire as Jeremy read "I Believe in Santa".  Then it was present time!!!
Thanks Nana & Papa!!!

We got Nana a calendar of her grandkids and some fun books.  We got Papa these cool glasses that allow him to see color.  I didn't get any pics, but we hope that they will work!
We had so much fun just hanging out together...

Aunt Meish got all the kids a little something too...

 Thanks Meish!!!  She's the Best!

Cali also got her birthday gifts from Nana & Papa...
She absolutely loves the whale bracelet Papa picked out for her from Ireland!
Nana and Papa are off to Colorado for Christmas.  Ben & Meish are off to Simi.  And we get Scac on Christmas!  Hooray!
Merry Christmas Wilson Family!
