Merry Christmas! 2018

The kids were so good.  They let us sleep in until 7:30.  But poor Zac, he had been outside our house waiting for us to get up since 6!  Doh!
Luckily, he was dressed as the Christmas Turtle and stayed safe until I let him in when I went down to see if Santa came...
 And he did!  Duh!

 Gifts from Hailee...
 And $$ from Gramma Gerry...
My favorite part of Christmas morning, is seeing the gifts everyone opens from each other.  It makes me so happy!

Luke and Brody FINALLY got a drum set!!

Scrac turned my kids into assassins...
And Brody loved his gifts so much, that he took this picture of his haul...
We spent the rest of the day celebrating Cali, watching movies and I cooked all day!
That afternoon, Gammy, Papa, Tracy, Sarah, Isaac, Eli and Chloe came over for the Christmas/Cali Pasta Dinner!

There was Cranberry salad, of course...
We all just hung out and ate yummy food...

 And obsessed over this guy-

Our guests left pretty early.  It was a different Christmas because of the divorce.  But it was still sweet and special.  I loved snuggling up with these guys that night on the couch.  They truly our the best gifts I have ever received.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve!

It was a very busy day!
I spent the morning running all around town picking up stuff and wrapping presents.  A new family moved into our ward that had nothing.  Like, seriously, nothing.  We were able to furnish the home and get them everything they needed by 2:00 PM on Christmas Eve!
They were so happy!
Then we rushed home to meet Gammy and Papa.  We all loaded up in the van and headed to the movie theater to see "Marry Poppins Returns"!  It was still as magical the second time.  Everyone loved it!
We then headed down to the temple to see the lights.  Except that the temple was closed!  Because it was Monday.  Dangit!  We still had fun taking pictures from outside the fence.  Here's the annual trash can pic... (the best we could get)...
 Cute G & P-

 All I've ever wanted...

After the temple lights, we went across the freeway to have dinner at Islands.  We kind of like this new tradition.
We made it home pretty early and got in our Christmas pj's and watched Christmas Story. We also watched the latest Mormon.org Christmas video and wrote down what our gifts for Jesus would be this year and put them in His stocking.

Dad did the reading of "The Night Before Christmas"...
Then the kids went up to bed around 11 PM. All was calm, all was bright...
And we were ready for Santa...
Goodnight!
