Luke's Turn!

He has been waiting for this day for months!  He was supposed to get his permit in March.  But then Covid shut down the DMV.  I had made an appt for him in May, but the night before, I got an email telling me it was cancelled, with no explanation.  They told me to call if I didn't receive a new appt.  I never received a new appt and didn't want to call, so I was planning on taking him on Tuesday (6/23) and just showing up and waiting.  But on Monday night, the 22nd, the DMV sent me an email letting me know he had an appt on Tuesday, 6/23 at 3:30 PM!  Jeremy came home early and took him to his appt.  He missed 7, but passed!  Woo hooo!

Fathers Day 2020!

This year was really fun and special!  We started the day with this breakfast in bed-
The kids gave him homemade cards and some cool dad gifts (pillow, bbq tools and a sign for his man cave).  Then they were going to spend the morning putting together his new grill that he got as an appreciation gift from work!

But when they opened the box, the new grill was all busted!  He was so bummed.  So, he spent the afternoon watching movies and hanging out with his kids instead.
And the old grill still works-
At 5:00 PM, My parents, Mark, Nana, Papa, Zac, Ben, Meish, Hailee and MMRAS all came over for a big Fathers Day BBQ!

We ate, we played, we ate, we played and ate some more.  Then Becky showed up with her family and made it the best Fathers Day Ever!
I am so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing Fathers!

Adventure Time!

With MMRAS here, I kind of felt like I had neglected them while getting things done and ready for my parent's anniversary.  So, on Thursday June 18th, I had them meet me at San Dieguito County Park for a fun little adventure hike.

This place is so great.  Trails leading to lookouts, across bridges and down ladders!

The kids had so much fun exploring and the weater was perfect!

And Zac came too!  He brought his drone and took some fun pics too!  Summer time fun with cousins is the best!

50 Years!

June 17, 2020
It has been months of planning and organizing with my brothers, but we made something special happen for our parents on their 50th Wedding Anniversary.  It was difficult with Covid Restrictions and also because my brothers have not been communicating for a couple of years.  I wanted to throw a huge party.  But Covid killed that idea.  I thought a dinner in the backyard and a vow renewal would be fun, but that didn't work out either.  Then, both Mark and Shawna suggested a Hot Air Balloon Ride!  I jumped at the chance because they both had the same idea!  Shawna booked it and Mark made sure they had that night free.  The night before I made an awesome card and sent them a text telling them where to meet and what to wear.  The picture above is when they were leaving for the meeting point.  I put together a little snack bag and drinks and off they went!

They loved it!  They got a nice sunset ride through beautiful Del Mar/ Carmel Valley.  They didn't get done until 8:45, and all of the restaurants close early due to Covid.  So I got Red Lobster take out and decorated the "beachy condo" all cute, so they could have a surprise anniversary dinner when they got back.  Cali, Jeremy, Mark and I worked together to make it look just perfect!

Mom texted that night and said it was like walking into a Hallmark movie.  I knew we had done good when she said that.  I am just so happy we could make a special day for them.  They deserve it!  50 years of marriage is a huge accomplishment and they have been such wonderful parents and examples to me.  Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad.  We Love You!

Monday at the Beach!

It is time!
The Bronsons are back from a week in Utah and the Colorado Wilsons came down for a surprise visit.  So yesterday was Monday (6/15) and we got to the beach nice and early and stayed the whole day!

It was magical and it felt so good to have our favorite tradition back in full force!

My Baby is off to High School!

Friday, June 12th we loaded up the car and headed, for the last time, to HTMNC for Brody's 8th Grade Promotion!  His school put on a great and quick drive thru!
Once he got his certificate and was officially promoted to High School, we met up with his buddies at the park for a little get together to celebrate!

After pizza and Peppertree, we met up with Kristin and Gavin at home and took some pics-

So weird to think that baby will be starting high school!  Ugh!  I'm so old!  But he is so awesome and is so ready.  I just hope he will get to go to school in the Fall.

Happy Birthday Papa!

Thursday June 11th was Papa's 72nd Birthday!
I was feeling rotten most of the day, but when we got to the Ranch, that all changed.  It was a beautiful afternoon.  Hailee fell asleep on the way, so I actually got some pool time in.  And these guys had fun too.

Jeremy, Meish and Ben came over after they got off of work.  We BBQ'd and had a nice little party for this guy!
He's the best and we love him so much!
