46 & 1

I spent my 46th birthday celebrating the 1st birthday of Kenzee Boo!
I did get breakfast in bed and had so much fun at church!  We were practicing for the program and the kids all wrote fun messages to me and stuck them on the white board.  I felt pretty special.
The "Fairy First Birthday" was a success and it was so fun to celebrate with so many loved ones.

Surprise Birthday Weekend!

Renee informed us the week before her birthday that her son Ethan had been battling a rare aggressive form of cancer.  It broke my heart.  So, I decided she needed some extra love from her friends.  I texted Yvonne on Sunday 10/10 and asked if she wanted to join me.  She was in!  So, I reached out to her husband and we decided to make it a surprise.  That Friday night, Yvonne and I flew to Phoenix and uber'd to Renee's house and surprised her!  She was so surprised and happy to see us!

It was awesome!  We hung out for a bit at her house, then her sister came and picked us up and we stayed at her house for the night.  Saturday was her actual birthday.  We went out to breakfast and then went back to her house and made soap and chapstick!

Then we headed to downtown Gilbert and walked around and got some yummy food.  Yvonne and I had to grab our flight home that night, but it was such a wonderful day.  So glad that I listened to that little voice that told me to go see her.  I love these friendships and that we've been able to keep them for so long.  She needed a break and some extra love and I am so glad we were able to give that to her.

Kenzee is 1!

PICS ARE IN REVERSE ORDER AGAIN!!
Ok, Kenzee turned 1 on October 15, 2021
We celebrated by joining some of our Park Day friends at the Pumpkin Patch!

And then we got some birthday cake pops!
Happy Birthday Kenzee Boo!

Mama's 70th Birthday!

Friday. October 8th-
My mom's birthday was on October 12th.  She had plans, so I surprised her with a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!  Just the 2 of us!  We had such a fun day!  And she LOVED the photopass pics!  We did them all!

Her first blue milk.  She was not a fan.

We spent most of the day in Fantasy Land.  We did do Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn, Haunted Mansion, Rise of the Resistance, Smugglers Run and Pirates of the Caribbean too!  We closed the place down and even watched the fireworks!  I am so glad I could do something special for her on her special day.  I love my Mama!
HBD MA!

Halloween is coming!

Between sessions of General Conference, Cali did this lovely chalk marker drawing of the Great Pumpkin!  She's so talented!
And then boxes started arriving almost everyday from my very own "Great Pumpkin", Jackie.  She spoiled me for my birthday with gifts arriving all month.  It was pretty cool!

Crashing Jeremy's Conference

Jeremy had a conference in downtown San Diego, September 29-October 2nd.  He was staying at the Grand Hyatt and I decided to take Friday off of work and join him.  I drove down Thursday night and we went to dinner.  Then we relaxed and enjoyed the view from his room-

Friday, October 1st
Jeremy had to be up early and down to the conference.  I got to sleep in!  Then I headed to the pool for the day.
It was a HOT day in San Diego and I took advantage of the sun and the food and drinks by the pool.  Had my own little "me party" and loved it!
That night when Jeremy was finished, we hopped on the ferry to Coronado for dinner at Saiko Sushi.  Face masks were required and we left ours at the Hotel.  So, we used our jackets!
We rode the ferry over just as the sun was setting...

We walked right into Saiko and ate at the bar.  We had the best service and the yummiest sushi!  It was such a great day!
Saturday, Oct 2nd-
We slept in and then we grabbed the breakfast buffet at the hotel.  We did not want to leave, but we needed to get home and enjoy conference weekend with our family.  I am so glad I let Jeremy talk me into taking the day off and taking time for myself.  It was so needed.  And I always love it when the two of us can adventure together!
