| Free digital greeting customized with Smilebox It was a really wonderful Christmas! Jeremy's family pulled out all the stops to make it extra fun! Jeremy was able to get the 23rd-27th off, so we got there late on the 22nd. We spent the 23rd running last minute errands and baking treats. That night, we drove to Fillmore to ride the North Pole Express. It was such a great way to start Christmas! We rode the train to the North Pole, while eating cookies and drinking chocolate milk. We sang carols and got to visit with Santa. On the way home, we enjoyed looking at all the houses lit and decorated for Christmas. Christmas Eve was a nice, relaxing day. We all hung out, watched Christmas movies, colored Christmas pictures, played with Christmas puzzles, tracked Santa on the NORAD Santa Tracker and wrapped presents. Nana made a yummy ham dinner and then Aunt Mishelle came over and made sugar cookies with the kids. After making the cookies, we sat and had a nice little Christmas Program. We did a scripture activity from "The Friend", where we answered questions about Jesus' birth. We ended the night with Papa reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas". He had to read it really fast, because it was getting really late! I think the kids finally fell asleep around midnight. But it worked out OK, because SANTA CAME! We actually slept in a little this Christmas-6:45!! That's late for the Wilson Family. We skyped Becky & Adam during the crazy present frenzy and learned that we should really communicate better when we go in on cool gifts for the parents! Nana ended up getting 2 Kindles! Oh Well! I got a nice, new camera and the kids all got wonderful gifts. The highlight though, was Jeremy's gift. I had filled his stocking with travel size toiletries and some new boardshorts. He wasn't too excited. But when I handed him his gift from me and his mom, that all changed. He opened it to find a confirmed Hawaiin Airlines Itinerary to Honolulu, HI. I worked for 3 months, finding the cheapest flight, getting him a place to stay, and getting him the time off work for this gift! It was all worth it when I saw his face and the tears in his eyes! That was my favorite gift! For Breakfast, we skyped Mikey & Mirian while eating Cinnamon Rolls & bacon (Cali's Bday Breakfast Request). For Lunch, we headed over to Rosa & Larry's (Miesh's parents) for some yummy Papoosas. Then, it was a delicious Turkey dinner w/ all the trimmings for dinner! We finished the day with Apple and Chocolate Silk Pies! My stomach hurt so good! |
