********BRAG ALERT!********
Yesterday was my annual Parent Teacher Conferences at Monte Vista. I started with Luke's teacher (Mrs. Shields). She loves my Lukey! And she calls him that too! He started off the year, not so well, because he was being made fun of and having a hard time at recess. Since she paired him up with another boy who has been having a hard time too and is really sweet, Luke's year has been so much better. Academically he is doing awesome and it's nice to know she cares so much about him and wants him to have a happy school experience. Cali's was next (Mr. Menchaca), and as always, she gets the straight "E" 's & "4"'s. She is pretty stinking awesome and it's nice to know that her teacher actually counts on her a lot to help others in her class. I ended the day with Brody's (Mrs. Parlin). She is a sweet lady and she started out by telling me how smart and wonderful Brody is (duh!). But then, she told me how he has been turning his card a lot lately because he is the "class clown". Uh Oh....I told her that we call him an "evil genius" at home. She liked that! I also told her that it's his father's fault!
So, there you have it! I'm so happy that they are all great students and enjoy learning. I am so very proud of them. Next week, I get to have SLC's w/ Gav's teachers. I always enjoy those!

My first YW Activity!
I'm kind of sad right now...because I just found out that Mitt Romney did not win the presidential election.
:-(
I'm scared of what the next 4 years of President Obama is going to mean. I hope and pray it doesn't get worse. But I don't trust him. I guess I'll just have to wait and see...
BUT -
Tonight was my first YW Activiy! Oh...I'm the new Young Womens President now! I got the calling on Sunday. I've known for about a month. I have been so scared and overwhelmed. Tonight was lots of fun! I have amazing counselors! We made cookie mix jars for the ward Thanksgiving boxes.
Cali got to come too! I am really excited to get to know the girls. And I'm so happy I have such great people to work with!

Halloween
Yesterday was the big day! And my camera is locked in Gavin's teacher's closet at school...so I only had my phone to take pics. The kids couldn't wear their costumes to school. So, they wore their cute Halloween T-shirts. They had parties and had a great day. I got to sneak in a lunch with my mom. She wanted to wear her witch hat....and brought me one too!
Jer picked up Gav and headed home early for the day. Cali had her friends come over and they made "Monster" cookies for the Trunk r Treat. They turned out amazing! Then we all got ready and headed to the church...

| Let's do this! |
The Trunk r Treat was a success! I got to hand out candy and enjoy some cotton candy of my very own!
My mom and dad texted me this pic.....They were home handing out candy to their neighbors...
After the Trunk r Treat, Cali and her friends wanted to do some real treating...so I took them and Brody to a neighborhood for a little bit, before calling it a night. Iron Man was wiped-
I feel like we celebrated for 2 weeks, instead of just one night! It was a great Halloween and can't wait for next year!

Wilson Family Dinner - Halloween Style
Since January, we have been having monthly family dinners at The Ranch. This month, Nana went all out and organized a pumpkin carving contest after dinner. She split us up into teams and sent us on our way to make the best jack-o-lanterns we could. Everyone had so much fun working together!

On a personal note...
Today was our Primary Program. It went beautifully. I have been so blessed to be a part of pretty much every program my children have participated in. But, this year...it was so bittersweet. I got very emotional today at the end, because I will be getting a new calling next week-NOT IN PRIMARY! I'm so scared....
I have spent my whole adult life serving in the Primary. It is where I feel comfortable. But I guess I've done it all and need to learn something new. I won't "let the cat out of the bag" yet...I'm getting called next week! But I hope I can do what the Lord needs me to do in my new calling. But I will miss my Primary friends every week. sniff...sniff...

Halloween Party Time

| Merida |
Saturday was a night full of Halloween Parties! Cali headed off to her friend Dee Dee's annual party dressed up as Merida from "Brave". I think she looks adorable!
After we dropped Cali off, I took these 3 to Gav's school for the HTH Zombie Fest! Gav (kind of) dressed up as Batman. The other 2 just wore their Halloween shirts and I spiked their hair with red gel.
I forgot my camera, so the pics aren't that great. Here's the boys LARPing with Woody:
I wasn't feeling that great, but was glad I was able to hang on, so that the boys could have fun! Can't wait to play some more next weekend and have more Halloween fun!
