GAFFIGAN!

Saturday night we finally got to use our Anniversary Gift!  We went to Humphrey's with the Humberstones to see Jim Gaffigan.  He was so funny!  Did not disappoint!  My cheekbones were sore from the smiling and laughing!  He had a whole bunch of new stuff and closed with Hot Pockets and Bacon!  This was our first time out with Leah and James.  They are so cool and we had dinner at Jimmy's American Tavern on Harbor Island.  That was so delish!  It was a fun date night....Happy Anniversary to us!

Happy Birthday USA!

This year we had no plans for the 4th!  Nada..Nope!  It was weird...
Luckily, the Bronsons invited us over to the Compound for a BBQ.  It was such a nice day.  We slept in and headed over to the Ranch.  YOM and YOF are in Ohio, so we had to check on the house and the pool (hee hee!)  We swam for a couple of hours and then headed to the Compound.  Brian had smoked buffalo chicken and tri-tip all morning.  It tasted AMAZING!  Plus, everyone invited brought side dishes and desserts.

These 2 didn't have any plans, so we brought them along....look at that belly!  That's a little baby BOY in there!
The Millers/Bronsons know how to throw a party!  They had a snow cone machine...

Fun prizes for the kids...
Shorty got in on the patriotic fun too!
There were lots of friends to play with...

The coolest backyard waterslide...
Kaci even had a craft table set up!
It was so much fun just hanging out with so many fun friends...

Happy 4th of July!
We left around 8:00 PM and headed home.  Brody was the only one interested in seeing frieworks.  So, Jeremy and I walked with him up the hill to watch Brengle Terrace's show.  He loved it!  And it was kind of special just having that moment with our baby (sniff, sniff...)
I am so very grateful to live in this country.  I hope we will always be able to celebrate this day and all the freedoms we enjoy because of it!

Bug Date Night

Gav has been going through some tough growing up type stuff lately.  It's been rough and I have been trying so hard to help him and do my best as a mommy.  The 2 of us went out on the 3rd and had ourselves a little date to see-
Very Cool!
I'm so glad I didn't take the little ones to see it.  Definitely a PG-13 movie.  It was a fun movie and had a great story, but it had A LOT of violence and some adult themes.  It also was hard to watch the cruelty towards the Native Americans.  But I'm so glad we got to have this night, just the 2 of us.  It was needed and we got to really talk and have a good heart to heart on the way home.  I love my Bug so much!

Grandma Ruth

Grandma Ruth passed away, Wednesday July 3rd.
This is the most recent picture I have of her and Grandpa Doug.  She had been sick for a long time and it was time for her to go.  I know that she is in a much better place and has been rewarded for her faithful life on this earth.  She will be very missed by her family and her husband.  I wasn't very close to her.  I have some fond memories of her though.  She made me a special blanket when I was a baby that Cali used as a baby too!  She always sent the craziest little gifts at Christmas, and most recently, all the kids loved getting their $2 bills!   Her funeral is this Friday.  I won't be able to go.  But I know that there's another guardian angel watching over us.  "God be with you 'til we meet again..."

Mia's Birthday Day of Play!

Mia (Mamma Mia) is one of Cali's most bestest friends.  We love her!  Her birthday is coming up and she was going to have her party on a Sunday (Boo!).  So, we snatched her last Tuesday and made our own special day to celebrate!  First stop, the Mall!  She got to pick out a Webkinz.  We also got some candy and then headed to The Olive Garden for lunch!  Pasta is her favorite!

Our server was so great!  He got a couple of other servers and they sang Happy Birthday-

She blew out her little candle and then enjoyed her little bowl of whipped cream and hot fudge!

We also hit up frutto's and then she got to spend the night!  Phew!  What a day!  Happy Birthday Mia!

Playin' w/ the Boys

Hello July!
Monday July 1st, Gavin had missed hangin' out with his buddy David...so we called him up and also grabbed Christian Robertson for a boy filled day of fun at the Ranch!  Woo Hoo!

Our favorite soccer player

So, everyone made it home safe and sound from all of their adventures!  On Saturday, June 29th, there was no slowing me down.  Even though we were all beat from being away from home, AND it was 100+ degrees outside, I still had to make it up to CSU San Bernardino to see this guy!  Jeremy and the 2 little ones, were too tired to make the trip.  But Cali and Gavin wanted to see Colby so bad.  They were troopers! It was 112 degrees in San Berdu...and BYU lost to LA Missioneros, but it was so worth it all to get the hug from Colbs after the game.  He was so excited to see us and I'm so glad we were there.  He told us that we made his day!  YAY!
