Crazy Hair Day

Brody's Soccer Party

 U7 Copperheads
These guys did so awesome this year and they had so much fun!
Coach Danielle was so great!  She moved here from New Hampshire 1 week before the season started and got talked into coaching.  We so appreciated it!  She did a great job and we will miss her!

Another Season Over...

This has been the craziest season of Jeremy's 4 year coaching career.  First, they were only given 8 players. Most teams have 10 or 11.  Jeremy spent the first few weeks begging for more players and having to play "men down" in most games.    The other teams would play their full roster.  We did play a couple teams that were nice enough to lend us a couple.  To make things worse, Jeremy had to deal with a confrontational parent.  She ended up leaving the team and taking her daughter, but not before berated and belittling Jeremy.  That was a hard one.  Then, on top of all that, one of our girls broke her arm half way through the season.  Luckily, we were able to recruit 2 girls to join the team and finished off the season with a full team.  Jeremy handled it all positively.  But I know it took a toll on him.  He loves coaching and I hope if he decides to do this again next year, that things will go smoother.
Last week, we were able to have a nice team party at Rossi's in San Marcos.  The girls signed a jersey for him...and even though it was a Child Large...he put it on and showed it off:
After everything they went through this season, these girls had a great time and love their coach!
Shooting Stars
And we finished off the night with a Giant Soccer Cupcake:

Movie Review...

I haven't written one of these for a while.  Yesterday was Veterans Day, so we were all home!  We picked up Carter and Chloe and headed to the movies!
Classic, Cute & Fun!
I loved all the retro graphics and all the old game characters.  It was a really cute story!  Fun for the whole family!

The 100 Party

After months of sneaky planning and 2 days straight of getting ready...Saturday came and WE PULLED IT OFF!!!!!  YAY!!!  The Z's came down and took Nana & Papa to Old Town for 2 days.  All of the sibs helped get the house ready and decorated and hid all the cars.  All of the guests arrived early and we hid in the dark.  They walked in around 5:30 ish and SURPRISE!  She really was!
She was a little ticked that we had been hiding 2 of her kids and 2 of her grandkids for 2 days...but I think she got over it quick!
 So, we were celebrating her 60th, but also their 40th Wedding Anniversary (60 + 40 = 100!)
They got to cut the little cake and feed each other...

I put together a really cute movie of all the grandkids and Scrac put together a slideshow of pics from Nana's life.  Oh!  Then we got to meet Jennifer....Scrac's new GIRLFRIEND!!!
These 2 went to A LOT of work to make this thing work and a success...I love them so much!

She got lots of presents...but the best was a surprise trip to Hawaii!  Surprise..you are leaving in the morning!
So many of her friends and relatives were able to be there....it was so cool!
Here's the family shot at the end of the night!  I think she liked these presents the best!
Happy 100 Nana & Papa!  We Love You!

Operation Special K

Last Thursday, Mikey & Becky flew in for the big Surprise party we have been planning for Nana.  We got to keep them here and hide them!  It was so much fun for the kids because Milo and Ryan came too!  Luke was so cute with Milo.  He kept reading to him and Milo loved it!

I kept Brody home from school on Friday and these 2 just played and played all day!

PTC's

********BRAG ALERT!********
Yesterday was my annual Parent Teacher Conferences at Monte Vista.  I started with Luke's teacher (Mrs. Shields).  She loves my Lukey!  And she calls him that too!  He started off the year, not so well, because he was being made fun of and having a hard time at recess.  Since she paired him up with another boy who has been having a hard time too and is really sweet, Luke's year has been so much better.  Academically he is doing awesome and it's nice to know she cares so much about him and wants him to have a happy school experience.  Cali's was next (Mr. Menchaca), and as always, she gets the straight "E" 's & "4"'s.  She is pretty stinking awesome and it's nice to know that her teacher actually counts on her a lot to help others in her class.  I ended the day with Brody's (Mrs. Parlin).  She is a sweet lady and she started out by telling me how smart and wonderful Brody is (duh!).  But then, she told me how he has been turning his card a lot lately because he is the "class clown".  Uh Oh....I told her that we call him an "evil genius" at home.  She liked that!  I also told her that it's his father's fault!
So, there you have it!  I'm so happy that they are all great students and enjoy learning.  I am so very proud of them.  Next week, I get to have SLC's w/ Gav's teachers.  I always enjoy those!
