June 23rd-
Here's Gav at 5:15 AM, ready to meet up with 14 other classmates and head off to Washington DC for the next 5 days.
Sunday: Checked into their hotel, had dinner and met the other students (from San Francisco, Kansas & The Virgin Islands)
Monday: WWII Memorial, MLK Memorial, Arlington Cemetery, JFK Grave Site, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial, Lincoln Memorial & Korean War Memorial.
Tuesday: The Capitol, The National Archives and The White House
Wednesday: Gettysburg
They went to the museum and saw a re-enactment of the Gettysburg Address
Thursday: Smithsonian and The Holocaust Museum - HOME!
He didn't take a lot of pics, but he really had a wonderful time. I'm so glad we made this happen!
