On Saturday, June 22nd, Jeremy drove to the Grand Canyon with Zac & Carl to meet up with Uncle Bob and Eric for a "fun" hiking adventure. They arrived at their camp around 3 AM and hung out all day Sunday figuring out how to do their hike from the top rim to the bottom and back up again IN ONE DAY!!! (Crazies)!. Well, Jer had a great idea, it was the night of the "Super Moon", so it was very bright out, so they decided to head down around midnight. That's just what they did. They made it to the bottom, Phantom Ranch, around 6:00 AM and then made their way back up again. They arrived back to the top around 11:15 AM. There are warnings everywhere NOT to try to go from top to bottom to top in the same day....but they did it and SURVIVED! YAY!
They were all pretty beat, sore and blistered from their adventure, but decided they hadn't done enough! So, they jump back in the car and headed to Zion National Park to hike Angel's Landing and the Narrows.
Jeremy attempted the crazy hike up Angel's Landing, but chickened out here-
He is too afraid of heights and the little chain that you have to hold onto to get all the way to the top! But, Carl and Bob did it! They spent the next couple days hiking through the Narrows and camping with Bob and the fam. They all made it back safely Thursday night (the 27th). Papa Carl can check this outing of his bucket list! So glad Jeremy made it home in one piece.... I was concerned!
